what lerch is trying to say is,,

change the ice maker sensor.. sits underneath the ice tray but you have to order ice ice tray motor assy to get sensor..

you can cut and join sensor if you find where wires have broke.

you might be thinking ice maker sensor would cause whole app to fail , but it does…sounds silly but unfortunately its true

    could be

1 ice maker sensors (infra red sensors either side of ice maker)
    2 ice maker itself

bit of a mine field unless you have these parts to try..
2 seperate water feeds 1 for disp and 2 for ice maker

with this app it could be anything..

probally motor, but may be module as well…they are a total minefield

weve had a few where weve done motor , and ended up sticking in module , dryer pcb, front led buttons ,and start pcb ..

    luckily under warranty..

    hope this helps

    Re: Samsung Rs21

famous rs21 fault, you would probally need to fit

    1 cover assy
    2 t/fuse
    3 defo sensor
    4 evap heater
    5 possibily drain hole heater..

you can put appliance into forced fridge defo..and both heaters will come on.. but if t/fuse is o/c then forced operation wont work.

samsung are doing these free of charge at the mo.. tell your cust to call them..
