Re: Treat your customers like this..

we had our yearly boiler service recently good job as day before we had e3 fault which we phoned and reported – call center said ok will let engineer know …

he turned up said he serviced it – couldnt find any faults ..ha ha

    same night e3 displays again

so we phone again – when i see we i mean the missus .. anyway they come out again break part of the kitchen unit and supposedly repair boiler , same night e3 again … we call – they say be out in morning but will call mobile b4 arrive .. no call on mobile and out card left .. now they coming tomorow …

    the joys …

    Re: JTM again!

the problem we had with jtm was this …

    heres an example

say you have 10 jobs @ labour rate of £40.00 and you complete 5 , you would then receive 5 x $40, £200 at the end of the month ..

now the other 5 jobs you may have to order motor module ,
you receive the module say 20th of the month , but motor out of stock module billed to your account at £140.00 , lets say you have 5 jobs with motor module so you may have 5 modules and no motors ..

come the end of the month you will be billed for anything they have sent you – which could be 5 modules or possiby more ..

that works out at you being owed £200 for you 5 completed jobs
    but you owing then 5 x modules @ £140 a pop … £700 …

we could never get out of this system , and eventualy gave up after about 6 months of stress ..

there are guys on here who make money with jtm , but we couldnt

but whats works for us may not work for you and vice versa – we are all trading at different levels , so they may be worth a try ..

    Re: Live testing

i think this is the brit -gas official line –
    probaly to cover their ar3£Rs

appoligies for all the good bg engineers – but i have worked their and had insight into their training – skills etc ..

when i started with bg i was buddied with a another engineer he basicaly contridicted everything i was taught in the basic safety induction , now he has climbed the ladder he now preach,s everything that he didnt do as an engineer – weird of what ..

they basicaly cover their arssssss. by getting engineer to sign loads of training – disclosure documents so when the poor old engineer does something out with their “policy” its bye bye … all with the knowledge that engineers need to work outwith their policy to get the job done ..

i suppose you could apply this to any job in life …

bottom line its all to easy to complacent in this line – so always best to take a step back and think what your doing with reguards to live testing
