The appliance also hates being in a damp locations. The circuit board tends to have problems and under severe circumstances may flash over 😥

    Hi
The drain pump could possibly be jamming when the water is hot??
Model number will be on r/h edge of stainless door inner (sticker) just to give us more to go on. 😉

The metering hose is internal Danny, going from l/h metering tank to sump, a black ‘S’ shaped hose.

    Hi
This era seems to suffer from metering hose blockage, causing activation of aquastop unit.
There are also numerous other things aswell. As you say it is 15yrs old but still an excellent machine, however you could be just ploughing cash into an old nag; for one of better words.
Personally I would cut my losses and invest in a decent brand – neff, bosch, siemens, miele, smeg etc

    Hi Barry
Sounds to me like the diverter motor on the instantaneous water heater has given up.

    hi
Ive had a bosch doing similar and it was the PCB. On mine it was on the r/h base of appliance. Check model number again and I will route part number for you.

    Re: Bosch SG43A2GB/01

    Hi squadman,
Can you please check your model number, as some models have had a software change in the control board and change to the flood mushroom assembly to combat this fault along with the sticky float which has now been disused in recent models.

    Thanks

I don’t suppose it is any comfort for you to hear that my identical machine has an identical problem. My engineer reckoned that some inlet pipe thing was gunked up and causing the machine to think it was leaking so that it ran the pump continuously. The machine did then work for a couple of weeks (although the getting stuck on 1 minute problem remained) but it has now happened again. If you, or anyone else, has managed to fix this problem I’d love to hear how.

    Hi
The 3 screws are Torx20 (T20). 2 in bottom of front casing and the other one accessible when you pull soap drawer out and found at the 5 oclock position around dispenser aperture.
