Pop into your local-washer-repair-shop with your broken valve, and get a second-hand or non-gen replacement 8)

I had one of those once that had being installed by a cowboy.
The back panel was being crushed against the cooling fan terminals, and the result was a permenetly running cooling fan.

Maybe the motor is overheating, maybe the element/stats are overheating, maybe it’s the pump, maybe water is getting somewhere it shouldn’t, maybe it’s little brain is doing something daft?
It needs somebody to test indivisual compoents, and see what is happen in that 10min before it cuts out :con:
If your going to investigate, power off first please :zap:

Any noises from the machine at all? I’m thinking maybe a faint buzzing sound?

Hmmmmmmm.
I was thinking it just sounded like the door not closing/catching properly. Beyond that I’m not willing to stick me neck and say it’s the interlock that’s faulty. Though it is a possibility.
Tis probably time to call an engineer, unless another forum member has any sugguestions.
For example, if you called me out to look at that fault, I’d put the machine into it’s diagnosic program. Then if that came up with nothing I’d try fitting a new interlock, which any good appliance engineer would have as stock. The diagnosic info cannot be published on the internet because of copyright rules, sorry 😕

eeeeeeeeeeeek! Busted 😯
I’ve never had one doing that before or since. I assumed it’s the pump, and the conversation with the customer went like this…
“Err, I think it’ll be the pump, but I’d like to take it into the workshop to test that theory, coz it’s alot of work.”
“Ok. They’re abit cr*p these Hoovers aren’t they? That was fixed under guarantee twice.”
“Oh! If you really don’t like it, I can make it disappear and bring you back a really good new one.”
“Coolio, yes please”
The Hoover is still sat in the workshop untouched :/ Yesterday it almost became another WEEE stat. but I had space to keep it. If I/Grahame ever gets time to diagnose it I’ll let you know what happens init 🙂

The thing I’d check when you get home, is that nothing is stopping the door closing properly. Beside that I’d check the door catch, handle and spring.
Failing that, I’d move on to the interlock. But power off first if your doing that! :zap:

Is there a digital display on that machine?
Does it display a fault code?

Turn on your DW, and count the flashes please.
No need to worry about anti-flood devices if that’s not the problem 😛

Seems like nobody stocks that pin 😕
I wondered if we got a part number for the entire solinoid, if the pin would come with it? 😳
