Better check the serial number! I got caught out a couple of weeks ago. Ordered a 50277796004 but the inlet/outlet diameter was bigger than the one fitted. Checked on TDS and there was a mod to 50280071007 after a certain S/N.

Re: Laughing all the way to the bank

I have to say well done to Masterpart of late. My monthly spend on parts runs at about £800,And up until recently it was £600 to Connect and a couple of hundred to MP. This month MP gets over £500 worth of my business and Connect get £150 😆 If I can blow Connect out completely I Will, apart from there pricing structure they have the most annoying habit of sending my parcels out by royal Mail when my account explicitly states Carrier only and they still charge me the full carriage charge. Rant Over, I hope my Connect rep reads this and gets in touch to discuss the matter.

Tricky one Phidom 😕 Cant think of any way of picking up a switched live or neutral when using the top oven or grill unless the cooker has has a comutator type switch. Perhaps someone else can come up with an idea.

Cheers for that Chris, Sorry to be a pain but is the LCD display listed as a separate part as some of the segments are missing?

Washdoc, Did you have to buy additional GPS software or did it come complete, As I have checked the spec on the Orange site and it makes no mention of Satnav. Have read elsewhere that it is required.

    Hi
Jim, Pc-Cillin is a AV/Firewall program. The ping test went down to 30ms with the program disabled but still didn’t improve the download speed. I will try to configure the program to allow pinging and have a good read of that link you sent me maybe I have a problem with my setup. Thank again for all the advise.

Thanks for that link Jim Lot of interesting stuff to read through 🙂 I will try some speed tests with my AV disabled to see if it makes any difference.

    Re: T/BENDIX DH200

Thats what confused me as usually the program would stick at the heat phase 😮 and the one I went to also heated for a few minuets then stopped. I Think when I fitted the new board it again heated for few mins and the stopped but after a short time it started to heat again and finished the prog.

    Hi Machineman,
Had the same problem with a Zanussi D/w couple of weeks ago,No visable sign of damage on the PCB, Heater circuit ok but it turned to be the board in the end. Not a cheap repair! 😯

    Hi, Jim
Iam using PC-Cillin, But I do find it quite complicated to set up, Had a nightmare getting the home network to work 😡 . Do you think that it could be the AV software causing the problems? Could,nt work out how to copy/paste the speed test results but the one I just carried out was 3.6mgbs download.

    Re: talk talk broadband

The cable network in my area was installed over 10 years ago, And I have a feeling that my slow speed is due to the the age of the system. A couple of years ago Blueyonder upped the basic BB package from 2 Megabits to 4 free of charge, Didn’t seem to make any difference to performance and I think it was just to catch up, As so many more customers signed up to broadband the service would have slowed to a snails pace. What is the relevance of the ping test on the speed test site? Mine was 885ms! is that good or bad.

    Re: talk talk broadband

What download speeds do you all get when downloading files ? The guy at Virgin told me its a more accurate measure of speed than the on the line speed testing sites. 😕

    Re: talk talk broadband

Just spoken to Virgin regarding my slow download speed and they suggested I download a couple of files from there games site and note the actual speeds indicated. One downloaded at 380Kb/sec and another at 520kb/sec. Any one knows the maths to convert to Mbts?. Maths not being my best subject 😳 .

    Cheers Goose.
