hasnt it got a 2 yr warranty?

and no, not all samsung fridges are giving problems, just the american style ones

if it clicks and dont start, often, its the compressor

great how some idiot comes on, makes a whole 1 post, and states that my comment was nonsense

ppl seem aware of the conveneient myths of the sale of goods act.. not the cold hard facts.

i work for comet, ill say it till im blue in the face, i know the rules, and procedure regarding policy.. i have to , its what im paid to do

comet have no legal obligation to give you a cash refund.. if youd actually bothered to read the original post mr no-mark, sorry walkover, comet have offered him an exchange, which will be a new appliance

does the amount of time the customer has had the appliance not matter?

what if suitable deductions were made for the time you ‘hired’ the appliance from comet, given there will be suitable wear and tear, and of course, no resale value of the failed unit?

    yes, its cobblers…

are you sure your not from horwich?

was it full of ice when u put the thermistors on?

a 24 hr defrost might help

if the fans running, the fridge should get cold, subject to blockages.. id go down the 24-36hr defrost route before i panicked!!

if you look at the sticker on the side, thers a bom number, thatll identify your machine, and will help u get the correct evaporator

is that not what i said?

trust me, if you dont want system problems, dont fit the evaporator!!
ill say it again, the heater comes off, not the easiest of jobs but it does come off

if you fit the whole evaporator, yes it will need regassing, so the heater is the easier option

and, incidentally, the evaporator comes with a thermal fuse, and a sensor, so id advise changing them at the same time, to eliminate any possibilty of further problems

its been well documented on here, theres only 4 faults that really happen – heater, sensor, thermal fuse and evap cover, change em all, and u hit the nail on the head!!!
