Re: LG WD1255FHB Banging when spinning

yep, they do, most of em have these days

but its not a sensor, and, not trying to be too tecbnical here, its a method used by the control board measuring how the motor deals with the load, its not set in stone.. and for reference, the lg models have been known to do that, u sure both suspension leg are attatched at the bottom of the drum?

    hope this helps,

Re: SAMSUNG RS21DCSV – Fridge not working

    oooooh

    u read through this forum?

the evaporator cover drain channel will be blocked with ice..

people deal with it in different ways

first of all, you could try defrosting it for 36hrs, thatll get rid of the ice

there is a replacement evaporator cover available , the nice guys here can supply u with both the part number and supply the part

i always go down the defrost option first, quite often, later models are fitted with the new evaporator cover, so it makes little difference

if it keeps reoccurring, then theres a very good chance the thermal fuse will have gone

the new evaporator cover comes with a fan motor attatched, but its usually the build up of ice that just stops it from running

quite often people just change the evaporator cover, because the freezer rammed with food, and its a lot to lose all at once!

power of if your gonna open it up to see!! as always, safety first

depends how well sealed it is.. various degres of it…. it would normally occurr quickly.. chances are, if it hasnt happened yet, it wont, so ur lucky

and, unfortunately those fans are low on supply because theyre changing that many.. but it will cure it, promise

hope it works out for you

    Re: BOSCH KGN34VOO MANUFACTURING PROBLEM

so why do you suppose bosch supply a dedicated modification kit for stoppin the salad bin freezing, if it was just a case of adjusting the selector control?
we dont just quote these things for a laugh you know, we’re just tryin to be helpful

nah, its more likely to be blocked with fluff in the condenser, needs airflow to keep the elemst at a safe temperature.. the condenser is the plastic tube from the base of the fan unit to the drum…

be very careful, lots of sharp edges, and tightly fitted parts

    safety first… it hurts!

oh, and plug out of course!!

Re: Hotpoint WD860… no end of trouble

theres probably no noise from the fan, because its probably jammed!! like i said the nut comes loose, the fan slips down the shaft and stops the motor from turning.

common fault that, just refit it.. usually works

althought the modified fan unit cures it, that particular problem still reoccurs

    Re: BOSCH KGN34VOO MANUFACTURING PROBLEM

unfortunately.. thats only ONE of the known faults with that particular machine, the other one is freezing the food in the salad bins

seemingly, the fan being replaced does tend to cure them (as long as the evaporator pipe isnt pulled too hard to gain access)

personally, id still stick with bosch… go and buy one of those newer type merloni (indsesit/hotpoint) things and u’ll find out what hassle is.

glad the washers repaired now, btw!

ooh, i hope youve unplugged it!!

the brushes are situated at the rear of the motor

take off the belt, remove the 4bolts securing the motor, the brushes are towards the rear of the motor (usually black, secured with 2 screws)
take care cos they can be difficult to take off

Re: Hotpoint WD860… no end of trouble

    gggggrrrrrrrrr

wouldn’t it be nice if merloni (hotpoint/indesit/creda) read throught these forums?

their machines are simply poor arent they?

99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure the fan will have come loose in the dryer, and the t.o.c will have tripped out because of no airflow, refitting the fan and making sure the collett is tight and resetting the t.o.c at the front usually works, since hotpoint introduced an updated fan unit, then made it obsolete in a very short period of time…

grrr.. frustrating isnt it? how soon before people stop buying them and hotpoint becomes another fallen giant?

plug out if your gonna work on it remember – safety first
