    exactly

Re: gas cooker at risk in my parents house.

Just nosing on the forum and noticed this thread, the simple answer to this question is if there’s no openable window etc to outside air then you refer to building regs…. Full stop.

no, you just dont allow it

cant believe you (or anyone) would think its acceptable to allow carbon monoxide to vent into a room where children could possibly be asleep?

the rules are there to protect human life… whether you consider it a safe installation or not, the by-product of all burned gas is carbon monoxide, and that needs to vent outside

quite simply..why would a gas safe engineer train for many years, spend a fortune to be re assessed every 5 years, for some guy from the council to say ‘ ahh, its reet, just shave 10mm off the bottom of that door’?

    cos its nonsense

advice is only good if its correct

tbh it may well be worth checking that every button is working first.. you may find one of them is sticking

    thats a hoover nextra machine

error 5 is the ntc not sensing

its the little temperature sensor on the back of the drum, just over the heater

unplug it and try the wires on it, they may be broken on the connector

if its not that it will require replacing

    quite common

    which valve did you replace?

next thing is to clean the condenser on the back, its probably full of fluff

    Re: sickness

i didnt mean to start an angry debate, but on the whole, ken is bang on the money

in my 11 years with comet, i had , around 3 days off on the sick, its just not me

i feel worse by doing it, and ive never felt like this at any point of my life

having worked closely with the management at comet over the years, i kinda got a feel for the ins and outs of whats required to keep the business profitable

for a lot of businesses, big or small, the difference between success and failure is a very fine line.. paying someone whos takin the michael, and wants paying for not working when its quite possible, simply costs a LOT of money, in lost revenue and costs

but for me, it wasnt planned, i went for routine check-up and the doctor jumped all over me and gave me a sick note

ill do the right thing of course, its just a matter of timing for me

    sorry guys

Re: Aeg L14710 VIT E10 code

it would. it simpy doesnt see the point of carrying on, wasting electricity when it isnt goin to dry.. it does take 3-4 mins for the heater and fan to come on when its working normally anyway,, it tests components before it starts to dry

    good luck

well, hoover will probably take you on

send you on a pointless 5 week training course in the middle of a valley…

work you like a dog with 11/12 calls a day

discipline you if you dont sell something to every customer

you get hacked off and leave and they claim £2000 back of you for afore mentioned pointless training

so youll learn what its really like to work for nothing

    fill your boots…..

Re: Hoover VHD 814-80 door security light problem

ill save u some massive expense

the motor will have failed and blown the board… im always doing that repair

if you look at the board, across the top edge u will see a single blown track

you could try soldering it, but if the motors screwed, it will blow again
