whats all this panic about?? 😆 all you need is, a console panel, drawer, drawer front, possibly a dispenser assy, then a module, eeprom & thermistor, easily fixable, only 30 mins work, easy job, dont scrap it, it will easily go on for at least another 6 weeks with all those parts, and its far too big to fit into a ‘blue box’ kerb side recycling box anyway 😆

that does not sound good, if you have tried the fuse & still all dead you may well have blown the main control module

Lights 1 & 2 is F12, no communication between top & bottom boards, check all connections (with the plug out please) if still F12 then, sorry, but the module has a fault, £89 if you use Hotpoint with their free parts

    Re: Hotpoint WD440G (again)

a ‘whack’ on the door should not be needed, if it sticks just push the door at the handle area, you will then prob hear the click as the interlock releases, usually caused by the door catch not springing back quite enough, when it locks the pin in the interlock then gets stuck, the push should give the pin just a mm more space to allow it to release
    hope that makes sense

Hi, the F11 fault is for pump not activating, rather than F05 which is not actually emptying,
F11 means that the module cannot detect the resistance of the pump, or that the module is unable to switch it, either way if all the wiring/plugs are ok, and you’ve already changed the pump, then yes, afraid it looks like another module fault

if it is the module, you would need to replace the module & eeprom, but the parts alone would cost you more than hotpoints £90 fixed charge

hi, you are right 1,3 & 4 is F11 pump cannot be activated, not the same as F05 pump blocked, You may find that the pump coils have burnt out, but please unplug before trying to take a look, if the pump looks ok, then unfortunatly, it will be the module

think time saver will be led 4, so F01 Motor fault, could be broken wire at motor, but more likely ain module has a fault, £90 through hotpoint to fix is probably the cheapest way

Re: opinion of integrated versus free standing.

ok, well to simplyfy, integrated looks nice, thats the pro,
The against are, if it goes wrong you risk damage to the worktop & floor in removing it, and it will hardly ever go back in as it origionally was, machines do go wrong, so at some time it will most likely need to come out (most repairers will charge you more to repair an integrated)
Free standing, no problems removing, easy access for repair, cheaper repairs, and if you know a good kitchen fitter you can always put a seperate door on the front of the unit to hide the machine, plus cheaper to buy in the first place
