hi, think this is the metal tank so you cannot take it apart, you should be able to hold the bollard in place through the sump outlet hole, real finger scraping job though, think the screw is m6 can usually find something in the bottom of toolbox to fit it, the washer is a fibre type

ParticipantRe: An offer you can’t refuse?
the vote was carried for action, however, as negotiations for this years pay rise have now begun it has been decided that the pay offer for last year is to be accepted (and backdated) with no further action!!!

there were 2 types of pulley used, one has a circlip on the pin, slip it off, the pin slides out clean & a small amount of grease, the others dont have the circlip. and the pin is fixed on one side the other side needs to be very carefully bent away so the pulley can be slipped of & again cleaned, not a bad job & saves the screach, one other point (though it usually causes an ongoing screach) is on the back of the drum shaft, there is a copper earth strip, this should be quite flat but can wear & squeal on the shaft

hi, probably dry/dusty belt jockey pulleys, they tension the belt either side of the motor, can sometimes just be lubricated to solve

ParticipantRe: TESCO £99 WASHER
this is juat same old tesco’s, sell something at a loss till all the competition shuts up shop, then jump the prices, where we are, they came & did the petrol station, undercut the other 3 local garages, till they all went under, now tesco is the only garage within 10 miles, and the prices are 5p’ltr more than those 10 miles away!, think this is just a ploy to get anyone with bank holiday time off to look for a mchine in through the doors, then ‘oh sorry we’ve sold out, how about this £299 one’ and a lost sale for everyone else, just my grumpy old opinion of course 😉

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WMT05 Bearings
yep, lost count of the number of customers ive seen with skinless knuckles, but they can get a bit upset when you get the belt back on in one go!

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WMT05 Bearings
hi, just a pointer, but when you say the ‘drum clicks’ are you sure its the bearings & not a motor segment? have you tried to turn the drum with the belt off to see if it still ‘clicks’?

ParticipantRe: WF630
its not a big problem like back then, i only see maybe 1 in 2 months, but can catch you out & think you need the whole lead/suppressor which usually means another trip

ParticipantRe: WF630
ok, well if you ever get one of these out in the field, the molded plugs are causing probs, overheats inside shorts & trips out, if you disconnect the output it will still test live-earth short, cut off the plug & its gone, just need a new plug fitting!, saves ordering a supressor/lead assy
