just a quick heads up the welded tub assy has the same inner drum and spider as the split tub so if you get any welded drums that are leaking or holed you can always cut them open and keep the drum and spider for split tub jobs might save some pennies in these tought times

Just a clever way of making independant repairs expensive, & make their own £99 call seem cheap maybe???

Hi, no you cannot swap the drums for a sealed unit, unless you start changing hoses, pumps, wiring & other bits too

unfortunatly yes, if its a sealed drum, then either a new drum complete or new machine required

hi steve/efs i looked into that before, the limited company limits yourself from any liability, but, from what i understood, if your limited company only operates from one wp and you are the only employee, then, if it gets looked into then, really, you are effectively employed by that wp, hth

Re: Hotpoint CTD40 dryer – water leak around water container

hi, easy to fix, the drain hole under the back of the water container is blocked,

    Plug out First
Take the lid off, (2 screws at back)
    Remove the water tank/drawer
There is a hole at the back where the tank fits, for overflow to run back to pump, this will be blocked causing the leak

    Nice, Easy repair

never thought of trying this before, but, dug out a motor tonight, dimmer sw & wired it, great idea, works well, cant see a prob doing it in house as with the dimmer you can start from a low input voltage, can also check voltage output from tacho

well i know of one wp who would still expect you to do 10 calls a day, then find your own 20{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} to do on top, though when ur being sent over 80 miles to do their 10 its not easy to fit your own in!!! 😉

yes, and if you need a 3rd opinion, i have probably fitted over 50 of these modules to cure this exact fault, Helo has already told you, the problem is with the selector, it is not recognising where it is set,

top display boards can fail, but usually a sign of bottom module fault, if it is & you try to fit new display module, that will blow again instantly!!

    Re: ebay sales

im with bazil on this, i too have a load of spares to shift, so ebay seems an attractive option, and if your company next door is selling for less than you can buy trade, why not buy off him?
