it does not matter if its registered or not, the serial number would tell them its under 5 years, registration is just a way to bombard you with warranty letters 😆

Re: Hotpoint WF860 loud thumping on fast spin help

and on jim’s last post, i went out just a few weeks ago to a machine only 6 weeks old, sealed drum, coin had gone through the outer (plastic) drum, the machine was on the 1st floor, when the coin holed the drum all of the water came out, down through the floor & wrecked the ceiling below,

    result???

garantee void, due to coin damage, cost to fit a new sealed drum £230 (machine cost £200 new!) plus a wrecked ceiling below,

    beware, coins & cheap machines = mess & £££

Re: Hotpoint WF860 loud thumping on fast spin help

coins can damage both drums, usually the inner (metal) drum will only suffer a few dents, however the outer (plastic) drum can be holed by a coin, imagine the speed of the spin, then a coin being launched at that speed through the plastic drum, it will smash through

you need to check that all the other paddles are secure also, as jim has said, it was the coins that broke the paddle and may have weakened the others too

p.s. its not the machines job to keep coins out, its yours! 😆

    Re: Hotpoint Aquarius WD440 W/D

HI, if the machine is working fine when it settles then it is most likely not indicating anything, however, the cause could be one of a few things, first, and cheapest but least likely is loose connections at either end of the connecting cable from the light/control board to the main module at the rear/base,
2nd would be a faulty contol board, misreading the signals from the main board

3rd would be the beginnings of a failure of the main module, and, unfortunatly the most expensive part,

If you do a search of hotpoint AND module you will get some idea of the electronic problems with these machines

At the moment I would say use it while it works, and save for the possible bill on the way!

only prob with that is your kind of saying there def is a fault, so if it does not fix it then it could be a long running saga!,
you can set to dry, then put the dry timer to OFF the machine should then run cold for a few minutes before ending

Re: tumble dryer tripping consumer unit

where the wires from heater pass through the back, remove that side panel, UNPLUG first, there you will see the heater plug, disconnect & see if it still trips, prob wont, and, as helo has said, the fault is prob a damp heater, (sometimes you can see it wet, other times it may just be a small amount of moisture)

    Re: Indesit Smart Card

the ones needing an eeprom (dishwashers) have a larger module in the base, not like the top module ones, more like wm modules, usually the chineese made ones
