ParticipantRe: Hotpoint FFA91+contamination
well if you can seal it with some good tough wide tape it should be ok down there, as its a frost free you souldn’t get any moisture into it if it seals well

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint FFA91+contamination
hi, just a quick thought, if the splits are not too big i have seen them bridged with thick Duck tape, it dont look pretty but if someone wants a real cheap freezer then it can do the trick,

just one more thing, WITH THE PLUG OUT make sure the heater wires are not broken/burnt, can cause 8 flashes, but it is usually the board

yes thats the module, but it also needs a programmed eeprom to be fitted as the same module can fit many machines

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WD860 Dryer no heat
well the latest (3rd) type of heatbox have the cut-out cable with the thermal fuse section clamped down hard, with a metal clip, to the top of the box, above the heater & centrally over the element so that it can detect any excess rise in the element temperature (like blockage or fan failure)

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WD860 Dryer no heat
well that’t be up to you, the part for the thermal cut-out is the same as the indesit one (c00080775) hovever there would be no clamp for it, plus i do not know if the heat box would be the same thickness (to ensure the excess heat can fuse the link if it needs to)
