Thanks, trying to find a part number for the thermistor but most sites list it as the turbidity sensor, is this a combined part, as I can’t see how a turbididty sensor can measure temperature?

OK, so, the problem goes on……..

When i dug out the paperwork it was actually one week inside John Lewis’ three year guarantee, so called them up and they gave an agents details to me.

Called their agent, they sent a guy round who spent a decent amount of time trying to find something wrong, now to me it is getting hot but not condensing, as all filters are clear I am thinking the evaporator may be restricting air flow, or compressor not dropping the air temp low enough to condense – it does look a bit fluffy in there and no way to clean it, so in the end he scrubbed the filters and said see how it goes, that was July 4th

Tried next day, still same, two full programmes and still coming out damp, musty and hot, called them up again, they said they would get a whole new base plate – compressor complete and fit, so, on 16th July they came and changed the base plate -two hour job

Tied the next night and the compressor sounds horrendous, like a rattling old fridge compressor with no gas, struggling to cool, coupled with that there is a distinct burning smell from the compressor area and it is pumping out some serious heat from the compressor fan

Called them again yesterday – 18th – to be told they cant come back, i now have to call via electrolux, have now spent over 2 hours over 2 days on hold to electrolux, after 30 minutes on hold earlier i was prompted to ‘press 1 to request a call back’ nice idea, but pressing 1 plays a message to say their mailbox is full and no new messages can be left

So, whats happened at electrolux? and what have they done to my dryer????

    Re: Hotpoint FEW12

Commercial code??? it is a Hotpoint, FEW12P, no commercial code on these, just after the wiring diagram from manual, if possible?
Any non-electronic WMA should be the same too

    Thanks

Cheers, already suggested all the obvious stuff like hoses, taps, syphoning, just wondered if there is a common cause

    Re: masterpart or connect.

Had my connect account closed as i had not used for 2 months, spoke to rep who said new policy is you must spend at least £100 every month or the accounts will be closed!, clearly they are making so much they can now turn people away!
