    Re: Brunt switch

I have merged both of your posts re this appliance, I am not personally familiar with the Candy/Hoover dishwashers but hopefully one of the ex Hoover members may see this and respond.

I can see from your picture that the machine has a pressure switch (bottom left corner) and also a pressure controlled fill valve. Tracing those two thin clear plastic pipes to where they are attached to the sump may reveal a blockage.

Does it leak when washing or is it obviously overfilling before leaking out of the door before it starts washing?

    Re: Brunt switch

I assume you mean burnt switch. 🙂

That is the mains suppressor or filter.

    Available HERE

PS. Whilst it is exactly the same as a Hoover appliance it is nothing at all like a Bosch in any way, shape or form. 😉

    Re: S420E creda oven(under counter)

    Come off or pulled off?

It is very unusual, nay unheard of for this type of hinge fitting to come away on its own.

There is a small 3/4 round disc that is used to lock each of the larger hooked arms of the hinge in the open position to allow the small lower link to be slotted in at the same time as the hooked arm is slotted into its position.

    THIS might help.

OK. Hopefully someone who is familiar with that particular make and model will be able to help, however the long term prognosis for spares, tech help etc is not looking good.

Not all oven doors can be dismantled, some are complete sealed units and truth to tell I have never even seen a Lofra appliance.

I doubt that a penny stuck inside the fan/dryer assembly would cause it to trip, an insulation check on the dryer heater and fan motor would be the first thing to check.

Any short circuit has the potential to damage a pcb.

F13. Drying NTC open/short circuit, wiring broken to ntc, fan motor jammed, condensor blocked

Re: Hello Everybody ..Ci555. small prob

Does it actually complete the full spin cycle?

The fault could also be a sticking pressure switch or badly clogged pressure chamber.

Does it open normally if you remove the mains plug or switch off the power as soon as it has finished?

I would double check that model number, can’t find that one.

There is 48104/5/6 or 9 but not 7.

Sounds good, crimping is fine if done correctly, good for another 20 years now. 8)

That reading is fine, some heat resistant wiring such as used in cookers would be good but if you haven’t replaced the original wiring tag then you really should.

The condition of the terminals you can see bears no relation to the condition of the switch contacts inside the timer.

Re: Hotpoint 7844P cold and stuck mid wash

Heat is usually a sign of loose or poor contacts, I believe this is a used timer and where the heat is is normally where the problem is as well. 🙁

What is the condition of the AMP tag like, might be worth replacing that.
