If you are unable to test electrical components then you should leave it to someone who can for your own safety if nothing else. You should not be attempting to repair any appliance without such knowledge.

TBH ntc’s as a rule are quite reliable, unlike a washing machine there is very little vibration inside a dryer to loosen or break wiring connections which are more often the cause of similar faults on washers.
It would be interesting to know if the ntc has actually failed all the same.

Check the wash water heater for open circuit.

Any suspect component should be tested with a Megger or suitable multimeter for insulation leaks before changing. πŸ˜‰

Will it complete a full spin cycle if you run it empty?

    Part number is C00291937.

Access is not at all easy, located into the large plastic drum front support duct assembly.

Not had any recent calls to this fault but there have been quite a few questions regarding F03 on the forum recently. πŸ™

Have any other ex Masterpart account holders been approached by Qualtex?

Given the contents of this thread I was surprised to be contacted by Qualtex as an ex Masterpart customer and offered a Qualtex account.

Even after I informed the lady on the phone that I am now semi retired and would generate very low sales volumes.

They said that didn’t matter and have sent me application forms?

    Jim.

    Re: Brunt switch

It does have three rubber β€˜O’ rings that form the seals. These do leak even without being disturbed, a very common problem on Smeg dishwashers.
The part number for the rings is 91941698.

You should also change that mains filter before it goes off with a bang, it will do if you leave it.

Cancel that last question, I was searching for a DS1 not a DSI. :clown:

Will have a look at the tech and see if it shows any seals etc.

    Re: Brunt switch

Do you have any more numbers such as serial numbers etc from the rating plate.

I cannot bring up any tech info with only that model number. It is possible there is some type of seal between components that has failed.
Due to the high water temperatures in dishwashers and also due to age they will deteriorate.

As I mentioned I am not familiar with the Candy based dishwashers, unlike Hotpoint, Bosch, Zanussi, Indesit, Smeg etc they don’t seem very popular in this area.
