One thing I forgot to mention is make sure the condensor is also clean, not as easy to see through as the earlier type, a pressure washer or garden hose is the best way to clean that out.

All together guys, “oh no it isn’t” its due to quality or in this case lack of it. πŸ˜₯

If that model number you have given is correct, then as Martin says, it has a sealed drum, the only solution is a complete drum assy costing around Β£106.00 for the part alone.8O I scrapped one of these last week that was 18 months old because the drum support had snapped.

Don’t blame the wife, unless she insisted on buying it in the first place. πŸ˜‰

Not sure if the forum is the best place for this type of exchange, I think this thread should be removed and both parties invited to speak to each other directly.

    Re: Indesit ISL70C Condenser Dryer

The most common cause is water getting onto the heater elements, possibly needs a good clean out of the float chamber and the elements drying off with a hairdryer. Not an easy machine to DIY, plug out if you intend to dive inside or try the link below to see if we can help.

Gunged up float chamber, easier to clean out on these as opposed to the earlier condensor models.

Really annoys me when call centre tell punters things like that, cos they don’t know if the part is in stock or not. Therefore we get it in the neck when punters say “they said you’d have the part with you” 😑 .

You said it, I asked this customer to let me know the outcome, phoned a couple of hours ago. Engineer called, fitted control module without success. Decided that main power module was at fault, didn’t have one, none available even from Germany, will be the New Year before a fix.

Duplicate post in General Forum deleted, if you post in two places it only gets messy with people replying to two different threads. πŸ˜‰

Hope I have done the right thing here, this guy has posted this question in both the General & Technical forums, even posted the one in Tech as a ‘Sticky’. I have deleted the post from General and unstuck the Tech one, thought I would own up, just in case he/she asks. πŸ˜‰

Thanks Alan, have sorted part number, seems it has been superceded from a 18161 to a 18158, will make a note of 18276 just in case.

Cheers Don, that is on Masterparts list, must be a mistake, it not being superceded on their website when you enter the old number.
