Re: Hotpoint WDD960 F15 error with Flashing LED’s

F15 is listed in the official manual as ‘possible’ heater dryer relay fault which isn’t the best of help.

Machine will self test so error codes for dryer can/will show during other cycles.

Seem to remember seeing a link to that site some years back Chris, never forgot that weird wash action. 😆

One thought – with the machine power button off – does it trip when you switch on the supply at the wall socket? If so it suggests a damaged power cable to the machine.
Or it could be the mains filter, or the main power pcb, or the door interlock or even the main motor, all of the above can be in circuit as soon as the start button is pressed.

Unless the machine has been tampered with, had a serious OOB condition or been manhandled in any way the possibility of the wiring connections to the ‘control panel and selector switch’ becoming bent is remote in the extreme. :rolls:

You have a short circuit or insulation fault. You will need a decent multimeter or megger to isolate the component or wiring that is causing this, no one possible cause I’m afraid.

F01 could be faulty motor, main power module in base or faulty wiring connections between motor and module.

I had answered that one earlier.;)

Even a change in the wind direction is enough to cause these modules to fail.

Nothing is puzzling about the electronics and spurious error messages on these machines, the circuit boards are pants. 🙁

I refer the honourable gentleman to my previous answer. 😉

Re: Hotpoint Fault codes H20 and F01

H20 is ‘supposed’ to be a water supply problem.

F01 is not a control module fault, again it is ‘supposed’ to be a motor triac fault.

The Indesit electronics in these are known to be very suspect so error codes are only a rough guide.

F01 could be faulty motor, main power module in base or faulty wiring connections between motor and module.

Need full model number and commercial code to be certain. The valve with the extension has never been available as a spare. In some cases a new, longer dispenser top with valves is required.
