Re: Hotpoint LFT04 UK/TA Dishwasher Spray Arm Diverter

Found it, it just confused me because in the parts diagram it looks like a bog standard ‘Y’ piece, nothing at all like that picture. 🙁

According to a picture in the manual the pump is connected to the ‘water dispenser’
but I can see no sign of this part in the parts diagram??

    Re: WD71 – Control PCB replaced…now NEW error E30

E30 is rarely a pcb failure, motor brushes, broken wiring in motor plug, fuse if fitted all common.

If the brushes had worn on the original motor it can take out the fast blow, glass fuse I f fitted, because not all machines have one. On some it is fitted to the main power board and on others it is inside a black, plastic cartridge in the wiring harness to the motor.

He has had a machine shipped from the mainland already in recent times. There is an amazing ‘underworld’ network of antique domestic appliance aficionados out there who have access to a huge database of info on old appliances including obsolete spare parts.

Wrong forum for a start, if you are in the trade then please apply for trade membership/access.

Why would you be ‘called out’ to an under warranty appliance anyway?

Trade access link is HERE 😉

Not as many these days but this young lad from Ireland is constantly in touch with me via email, Facebook etc. He is currently stripping down an old Hotpoint top loader and has managed to rebuild several machines with a little help and advice.

Here’s a thought, leave all your devices at home, go where there is no WiFi and really chill. 🙂

Off for a few days myself tomorrow, visiting my brother in Woking again whilst I take in the Charity Shield final at Wembley on Sunday, back Tuesday.

    Re: Hotpoint WD420 not starting

Like all basic rotary switches fitted to modern pcb’s it can be rotated in both directions.

The wiring connections on WD420 machines changed from date code 39.

Unfortunately the manuals do not give colour codes for the wiring but there are 10 connection blocks fitted to the main pcb.

This will be my last post in this thread for two reasons,

1: Any machine that has been tipped upside down will in most cases have suffered damage of some sort, usually serious.

2: The fact that the drum halves are secured by substitute screws implies that this machine has been ‘repaired’ by a bodger at some point in its life, god knows what else he/she has done to the machine. 😯

Could be the pressure switch stuck in the overfill position but pcb is more likely. 🙁

Re: Indesit W/M IWD5123 not going into drain cycle

The OP has said the pump is not running and if the sump hose was blocked it wouldn’t have drained from the filter. 😉
