The part number I gave you will fit, it will have an NTC fitted in the heater but yours may have it mounted on the face of the drum, it will fit either way. You have to remove the whole of the front panel, also removal of the heater is a little tricky, remember our repairs@ section if yo don’t feel confident of going further.

PS. This machine was heating up after you replaced the switch panel wasn’t it ?

You could try a reset, press & hold Start/Reset button until a set of dashes appear in display.

    Re: A Warning

With regard to neptunes post, I was in the Army Cadets as a youth, (Part 1 with credit) I can still remember being taught the correct way to feel my way whilst crawling through the undergrowth or touching anything, it was with the back of the fingers or hand, if you did happen to touch an electrified fence, as you crawled over Marsden Moor or through Ashfield Valley on a weekend camp then you would close your fist but not grip the electrified object.

Strangely enough we did not encounter any such dangers on these weekends. 😆

When you did the test runs with the detergent did it have a full load of dirty dishes in it, if not it will foam up.

Have you got rinse aid in the dispenser? Also this might help. http://tinyurl.com/y7vqyu

Front panel has to be removed to access heater, resistance about 20ohms. You can fit the later heater to the earlier machine but not vice versa. Part number 1602026 available from here.

Re: Error Code ‘CD’ on AEG Lavamat 72600 Update

CD does indeed relate to door lock fault. British Gas engineers are not reknowned for a high level of technical competence on whitegoods, a blocked pump, worn brushes, belt snapped etc OK, anything more difficult and most of them are lost. 😥

    Read this. http://tinyurl.com/tdsga

When the AEG bod has sorted it please post back the results, it may be of some help to others.

Re: Creda 1000 supaspeed ecowash – not heating.

This machine should complete the wash if it senses no rise in temperature after a set period. Some people don’t even know their machine is not heating. Poor wash results on heavily stained clothes is the usual complaint. The heater itself contains an thermal cut out device, if this fails, as they do from time to time, a new heater is required.

Continuity and resistance tests on the element itself would be the first place to start.

We would need the serial number to correctly ID the element, there are two alternatives.

1+3 refers to blocked filters. Use a dishwasher cleaner occasionally to prevent this. For best results, try Fairy Active Bursts, without any rinse aid, plus salt if you are in a hard water area.

The control panels look virtually the same for both this and the WF220 on Partfinder.

    Re: ariston awd12 spinning fault

The Hotpoint machine has similar ticklish Indesit electronics that your Ariston has. It also has a completely sealed outer drum, even if you get a sock or a coin lodged in the drum that cannot be removed through one of the holes for the heater or the hoses then it will need a complete outer drum change. 😥

That tube is the overflow, a constant cause of problems on these machines, particularly if you use 3 in1 or 4 in 1 tablets with rinse aid, this can cause overfoaming. I hear that the current production has that overflow turret blanked off now. You would not see water on the floor until you tilt the machine, as soon as a small amount of water enters the base it trips the float switch and goes into drain mode.

Re: Indesit IDL 705 Error codes

Are you absolutely certain there was no water in the base, Neon 1 flashing is a flooded base error. Did you remove the wires from the small micro switch attached to the base. Some of these switches have three terminals and refitting to the wrong ones would give this fault, also the microswitch itself or the float could be sticking. From memory, if the switch has three terminals the two wires or the plug go onto the top two terminals. The fact that it works as you tilt it suggests the switch in the base, or water ingress is your problem.

Plug out at all times when you have it opened up.

    Jim.
