    Re: Workloads

Only six calls in today, however one is a Hotpoint WD51 complete outer drum change, one an IWMS system on a Zanussi D/W and a tub out job on a Bosch built, Hotpoint D/W to replace heater box seals. Should keep me busy. 🙂

    Re: hotpoint wd420

I take it this is happening without you having selected the tumble dry function.

If you are absolutetly certain that the dryer knob is in the OFF position then the fault could be in the control module or the main power module.

As one is around £70.00 + vat and the other even more expensive you would be well advised to contact Hotpoint/Indesit. your machine has a 5 year parts warranty so you would only have to pay their modest, 🙄 😥 £90.00 labour charge.

Not a fault I have come across, if you don’t fancy Hotpoint then click the link in my sig to see if we have someone who can help.

Anyone ( Dave ) 😉 know the price of the control module on these.
Masterpart shows 8996461920101 as NLA, and does not recognise 8996461920119 ?

    Re: indesit td belt

Thats the one, only works for dryers with removable side panels but it is so easy with that tool. 5600178 is the earlier one you need that for the TDL range that had does not have removable sides.

With this tool, it is top off, left hand panel ( from rear off ) remove enough screws to allow front panel to be prised forward, fit belt, refit front panel screws, insert tool inside belt, lever over pulley, refit panel and top, an absolute doddle of a job. 8)

Hotdog is a forum trade member, perhaps we should approach him and ask him to make us a job lot, bound to be cheaper the Indesit.

No, I seem to remember Goatboy posting a picture of the later special tool, a good while back, cannot just remember where. I think Hotpoint use this tool as well as the one you mention, it is much , much better than that.
It is a long bar with two small extensions to slot under the belt, and the end is shaped to slot into the holes in the base. It really is brilliant for fitting belts to all the VTD derivatives, no use for the CTD though.

So rear halves will, as has been stated become harder to source.

Takes about 10 minutes ( with the special tool that is) 🙂

Mine was kindly made for me by Hotdog, a trade member., much better than the earlier special tool.

PNC was 91123221800, she gave me that before I went so I tried that as well on TDS.

😕 Cannot see anything like that on my TDS, what or where is GOW1000266+7 . :clown:

Just been to the machine, apparently worked fine on last wash, switched on for next wash, dead as a dodo. No warning of any problems beforehand.
Door switch, small On/Off switch on module OK, I can trace a live & neutral link from the plug to the control module, there are no obvious signs of any damage to the module or the wiring harness.

I cannot get the parts diagrams to display on either PC for this model and there is no GOW1000266+7 listed, only the parts lists themselves display.

Anyone had a similar problem, or have a wiring diagram/schematic?

    Thanks Chris.

EDIT, just had another look at TDS. I did see all the documents listed on the lower window, no overall service info or wiring diagram that I can see.
Just a load of service bulletins.
