Re: Ariston AIB16 with -con on display?

It appears to be a device situated just above the pump on certain machines only. 😕

My guess is that a simple fix would be to isolate it, then it will give a ‘normal’ 😉 conductivity reading.

But then I could be completely wrong. 😳

Are you absolutely sure about that Dave, I had to fit a pump to a similar Hotpoint/Indesit machine recently and the pump assy was not designed to be removable from the motor as far as I could see.?

I changed that one for a pump leak and thought I would try to remove the pump and salvage a perfectly good motor but it wasn’t worth the effort so I binned it.

If you really mean ‘Instruction manual’ then here is the link you need, unfortunately the PDF download link appears to be missing.

EDIT. ZoneAlarm Pro was blocking the PDF link on my PC, I can now see it so you should be able to download the Instruction Manual from that link.

An e-mail to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk should do the trick, much cheaper than rip off espares. 😉

    Motor & pump complete I’m afraid, part No: C00080512, £78 + vat. 😥

Not sure about filter, appears to be the same as most recent Indesit clones. 😕

Can you post a pic of this large nut?

EDIT, There does appear to be a different part above the normal filter fixing on these, comes as a two part kit ?????

Thanks Ken, I can work out what the text is underneath but it looks a bit poor to give to any customers, also where did I get all the last batch of updated info from, was that also e-mailed to me. I tried to find a download on here but the user manual is still the old one.

Hayley, 13 flashes suggests a faulty dryer NTC/ temperature control, often it is just a broken wire near the top of the dryer heater box. It should not be too expensive to repair, try the link in my sig to see if we have someone who can help. Please remove the mains plug if you intend to proceed further yourself.

When the timer knob starts to click round you need to count the number of times the mains neon indicator flashes, it should flash a set number of times then pause, then repeat until you switch off. Post back when you have this information, the number of flashes should give you an error code.

Just added (edited) a couple of ‘i’s , remember, I like to keep things neat, although there is nothing wrong with Smiles I think Smilies is more appropriate.

Just having another look at this booklet in advance of my impending call to Mrs Phipps, I did mention when it was first available to download that on pages 13,16 & 17, the pictures had obscured some of the text, has this been sorted, if so I will download a fresh copy.

Test modes vary from model to model depending on the type of module and the option buttons available.

I can send you a couple if that will be of any use to you.

Cheers Greg, I’ll let them know.

EDIT. Just phoned him and he says inner drum is flopping all over the place so we both agreed it was best laid to rest.

Module will cost you just under Hotpoint’s labour charge. However if you replace the module on this machine it will go bang again unless you follow the good advice from P45.

That module looks to have been blown by door lock or motor, add those to the cost of the module and Hotpoint’s £90 labour charge begins to look more attractive.

Identify the neons by number from top to bottom then use Dave Conways post, page #3, Known Error codes thread Indesit WIDL’s.
