    Re: ISE website

Not had too much time this last week or so but I was just reading the ISE web site and on the link ‘The Machine’ I noticed this statement.

‘We are so confident in our machine that we offer a free full five year parts and labour guarantee’.

Now I may be missing something but I was under the impression that the customer has to pay £60.00 for this privilege. ❓

Have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling the whole thing including Acrobat Reader 5, if you have Acrobat 7 as well as the Acrobat Version 5 that TDS insist on using then you can often get the very problems you describe.

    Re: Quick Wash fault

    Back on topic, 😉

After a call from ISE HQ I went along to Mrs Phipps today, fortunately I had been supplied with a module before attending.

She showed me one thing that she had noticed before I touched anything.

Switched ON, select 40° Cottons, press Quick Wash, its neon does not light up. Turn selector to 40° Synthetics and you can then select Quick Wash. 😕

Before I even pulled the machine out or disturbed it in any way I removed the mains plug for 1 minute to see if that cleared anything from memory.
I then set to 40° Cottons and this time I could select Quick Wash, however the unplugging seems to be a bit of a red herring because I then fiddled around with various options, filled, emptied, cancelled mid programme etc. Several times I then had the Ready light flashing and could not select anything. The door lock was OK and I made certain that the selector switch was not set ‘ between ‘ programmes. I switched off and left it for 1 minute then found that I could once again use the selector knob. I selected 40° Cottons and Quick Wash, the Quick Wash neon illuminated but I then found that if I turned the selector knob to 60° without pressing the SPC button the light stayed on but went out when I turned it back to 40° and the Ready light started flashing again, if I then turned it back to 60° the Quick Wash neon came back on and the flashing Ready neon went out.

I replaced the module with the new one and ran several tests all of which worked fine.

I suspect that there may be an intermittant fault with the selector switch on the module causing this fault.

    Jim.

Is this one of the two screws that go through the hinge and into the plate inside the cabinet. If so possible cures are a new rear plate, or a slightly longer bolt that you can fasten a small nut onto ( make sure it does not stick out into the door seal.

Thanks for letting us know the outcome, don’t forget to do the regular maintenance wash every couple of months, 95° wash, small amount of detergent, no clothes ( in the machine that is) 😉

Thats why yours fluctuates so much.

But at what cost, 😉 I can have 10 Meg for £34.99 but 4 meg for £24.99 works for me.

I can see item 33 but as it said ‘pump cover’ I ordered and fitted complete pump, I tried to remove the pump body from the displaced unit without doing it severe damage but was unable to do so.
