Re: Restraining Strap Attached Between Shocker and Drum?

Or, is the motor on top of the drum or slung underneath?

Re: Restraining Strap Attached Between Shocker and Drum?

Is this a Creda or a slightly later Hotpoint made Electra one though. Some of those also had a green strap on one suspension leg. If it is a Hotpoint one then just replacing the suspension units should suffice, the strap wasn’t used all the time anyway.

Suspension for later Hotpoint one is still available but I very much doubt you will find anything for the older, Creda made one.

Can you post a picture from the top with the lid off, we would soon be able to ID it from that.

Does anyone else find this poster, lilyalvin annoying, read their profile and it is obvious they know next to nothing about the real ‘nuts & bolts’ of the industry yet he/she keeps posting basically nonsense.

    Digital media expert 🙁

Yes, I did look them all up, the E01 shows at switch on only, switching on and off seems to clear that one. Machine is definitely not draining correctly. All hoses and undersink drain completely clear, flap valve operating correctly. Drain pump appears to run but because of the sycasm system it’s hard to tell if the pump is failing or being switched on and off by the controls.

That is assuming this machine does use sycasm drain pump operation????

I have a drain pump on the way to try before I kick into the long grass. 🙁

Base totally dry, tried another reed switch but suspect there may be a pcb fault. Customer now tells me that it works intermittently but then throws up E01, E21 and also E25 as well as Check Water???

Not being able to see the machine or his handiwork makes it very difficult and is only guesswork at best.

Wiring harness or connections pulled off accidentally, door interlock not engaging correctly ?????

Not sure what your budget is but Miele is about the best you can buy.

    Re: indesitw104sp

That would explain the model number difference.

Was the temp sensor (ntc) the round disc type that slots into the back of the drum or the short probe type that slots into the heater itself?

The wiring plug/contacts on the latter one are very poor and to tell the truth the whole machine is not recognised as anywhere near the best here in the UK.

The electronics are very flaky and could also be the cause of your problem. 🙁

have you tested the two wires from the ntc to the main pcb for good continuity?

Re: Hotpoint wf 860p ultima. TEST CYCLE

Does it say Test or Demo?

To cancel Demo you hold in the On/Off and Start/Cancel buttons together for several seconds, hopefully that may clear Test as well.

You could also try to unplug from mains for a couple of minutes.
Test programme should only be accessible by using the special hardware key or company laptop so if you can’t clear it then you may have a corrupted eeprom on the main pcb.
