Yes, that is a squash racket there, 😉

Play between three and five times a week, for the past 28 years, I suspect that Martin has played more than the odd game as well. 🙂

My nickname is not ‘Honest Jim’ for nothing, mainly use Msn music, don’t have an I Pod, prefer my music from nice sound systems at home or in the car, although I know you can play I Pods through the car radio.

Hello again, DG6300 is recognised on UK parts ID software. Unfortunately Indesit removed the direct link to the user manuals from this site but you may be able to order one from there. If you have any difficulty let me know and I will try to obtain one for you and e-mail it to you. to be honest, most of the settings on dishwashers are fairly obvious. you normally have have a Quick Rinse/Quick Wash, to remove the soiling from dishes before you set it to a wash programme, if you have not enough to fill the machine, and two basic wash programmes, economy or reduced temperature, around 50°, and normal at around 65°. From memory these are numbered on the Indesit machine but you can often tell by the symbols if there are any. An icon that looks like a toothbrush is usually the main wash programme. Also the optional buttons are normally self explanatory.

Reading your other post I see you have already removed the screws. The lid slides backwards, can sometimes be a bit stiff, a sharp knock at the front usually does the trick. Make sure you remove the plug first. There is no restraint at the top of the drum on these machines so back to front movement is quite normal. look for loose concrete balance weights.

That was definately £299 last night. Zanussi is about the best of the major Italian manufacturers, good spares backup but parts can be pricey.
Some lower price , budget Zanussi are now fitted with a one piece moulded outer drum, the same as Indesit. That means no possible repair to , bearings, inner drum or outer drum. 😥

Only 41 days, 😯 , ah well, it will soon be Christmas. 🙂

Just had a look at the source code again, I wish I had the time to really get into all that stuff, but I can see the alterations. 🙂

Have I missed it 😉 , Countdown to Birmingham at bottom of homepage reads, 0 days, 0 hours, 0 minutes, 0 seconds… 🙂

Or are my firewall settings blocking something. ❓

Although clicking on the ‘Jag’ logo in the corner of the box brings up a DNS error.

Although I know very little about these things, looking at the source code, it does look as though there may be a javascript error.????

Hi from cold, wet dark Blighty, thanks for Kevin Pieterson by BTW.

If you are in a hard water area it is essential that you use the correct salt in your machine, it is good practice to use salt in any case. Separate detergent and rinse aid is the best combination. Overdosing with detergent is not really a problem on dishwashers due to the size of the dispenser. You should use good quality detergent and rinse aid. You can adjust the amount of rinse aid that is dispensed, best to leave it on the default setting and see how it performs. To much or to little rinse aid can cause problems such as streaking or poor drying, suck it and see. 🙂

That model does not appear on the UK specs software, so a user manual sourced in SA would be the best bet.

Here you go, Silver Bosch just under £300, don’t worry about 1200 spin speed, that is more than adequate, anything above that removes an infinitesimal amount of extra water and just causes more noise and wear & tear.

You may get lucky if one of the Hotpoint lads pops in. Doubtful if anyone else has any info, that machine is listed as 2005 production, surely it is still under g/tee ?

If you shop around you should be able to find a Bosch just under £300, that includes a full two year warranty.

Re: Bosch integrated dishwasher drain hose

On the Hotpoint varient I think that was superceded by a hose with a moulded elbow. Although the DWH55 from Qualtex appears to have the rubber ‘O’ rings and is listed as Hotpoint/Bosch.
