More likely to be a blockage, kink or tiny pinhole in the black rubber hose to the pressure switch. Especially if it has only happened since you touched it.

    Re: Alternative to a van.

My local tyre depot’s owner keeps his winter tyres on all year round as he says his Audi Q7 4×4 is useless in snow.

However, if you read Honest John in the Telegraph motoring section he advises against using winter tyres all year round as they do not perform correctly in temperatures that are consistently above 15C.

I have a full set of spare alloys and have just had my winter wheels swapped over yesterday. 8)

    Re: Alternative to a van.

I have always used an estate car but never uplift appliances. If you do then a van has to be the only sensible option.

As for 4 wheel drive, a two wheel drive vehicle on winter tyres will out perform a 4 wheel drive on standard tyres by a long margin.

Re: Need help identifying an Indesit Oven

I counted around 200 different model numbers for Indesit built in ovens. Unless another member of the public has an identical oven and reads this then as Martin has already said, pulling it out is your only chance of identifying it.

My first washer cost me £300, that was over 40 years ago, that lasted 19 years. 😉

NB. If it is under 5 years old then the Indesit Company will repair it for labour only, around £120 which is a far better option than spending £250 on something just as bad or worse.

To be brutally honest you can’t buy anything even half decent for £250. 🙁

    Re: Indesit IWC6105 Help please

You can’t reprogramme it, you need an Indesit Company laptop to do that. Reset involves draining out all the water, removing and refitting pressure hose to pressure switch then filling with a couple of litres of water through door before setting to drain. That sadly doesn’t always work.

Likeliest possibility is something else stuck or a blockage in the outlet hose.

Best would be a Miele but give us some idea of your usage and budget, hopefully Don will give you some pointers.

    Re: Indesit IWC6105 Help please

Error code F05, that is a non drain/pump fault.

There may be something else in the sump hose, does the water flood out when you remove the pump filter?
Have you checked the drain outlet hose for blockages.

Sometimes if you tip the machine back too far when draining a blocked pump it can upset the pressure switch. This can sometimes be reset or may even need the module reprogramming.

Rear bearing a known weak point on these, easy to have a quick look by removing the small plastic cover on the back.

Might be worth ringing the Indesit Company. 😉

Re: Whirlpool to do a recall on Hotpoint dryers

This must be a logistical nightmare, assuming they are not publicising a recall then they must be using point of sale registration documentation.

It’s fair bet that at the very least 25{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of these dryers have already been scrapped?
