You can test both the heater and the thermal protection to the heater but you should get F14 if they are faulty. In fact on some models the dryer heater has internal thermal cut outs.
You would need to give us the full model number and the commercial code from the rating plate for us to tell you which type you have.

Lights 1 to 4 from bottom up signify F15. No heater on dryer side, possible relay fault on main pcb. 🙁

ModeratorRe: WMEF 742 Error Code F12
It is 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Indesit with known dodgy electronics. Unless you actually break something then it should be ok to have a look and as their labour charge is £100+ they won’t be that bothered. 🙁

After removing the mains plug you can try and tighten up the connector plugs between the pcb’s by gently squeezing them.
If the pcb’s are faulty then unless you have a company laptop or want to pay for a new smart card and card reader at around £130+ you cannot do that yourself.
The fact that you think it is the same fault would make no difference whatsoever but you are still covered by their five year parts warranty. Getting Hotpoint (Indesit ) ((Whirlpool)) to fix it for labour only is your least, worst option. 🙁

ModeratorRe: Hoover DYN 8144D Motor Fault E08
There are at least 10 different variants of that model. They have been using a very poor, Chinese made motor in the last few years. If you can give us the full model number and any other numbers from the rating plate inside the door and if possible the make of the motor from the label on it we may be able to help.

I saw his post before I posted in here, the fact he even bothered to check back suggests he is looking for a bit of ‘online aggro’ will do as you suggest K. 🙂

I was responsible for deleting the post in the public tumble dryer forum last night.
He posted a long winded question about an Indesit dryer that he had been bodging up for years. The truthful answer to his question would have been to throw the heap of junk away as the only proper fix would have been a complete new inner drum. I did mean to answer him if no one else did but was out till late last night. He had replied to his own post by saying he had now fixed it and sarcastically thanks us for our fantastic help, plus several :rolls: :rolls: :rolls: . As his reply served no purpose I deleted his thread.

If it really did ‘flood’ then it may well be a write off. The noise could have been a large coin or similar which may well have punched a hole through the very expensive outer drum. 🙁
Remove the mains plug, lean the machine back against a wall or something and have look underneath with a torch. You may be able to spot any such damage.
