It’s safe but illegal, that is an interference suppressor which is required by law to stop radio and TV interference.

not expensive, most common Bosch one is HERE

I have replaced a couple of these with the earlier type without any problems.

    Moved to correct forum. 😉

That is the correct part number, out of stock at Masterpart,….surprise, surprise. 🙁 However I am certain that I have fitted the earlier C0085194 to these, you just have to find a couple of screws to secure it.

Main difference is delay on opening as opposed to the instant click of the solenoid type.

Your wife is a wise woman indeed.

Testing the NTC involves a multimeter and a bowl of hot water, it also helps to know what the ntc readings should be. The machine runs a diagnostic test at the start of any cycle and will abort to error mode if any faults are found. You should also be checking for blockages in the condenser.

Or just listen to SWMBO. 😉

You could try THIS if your machine has a Time Delay button.

You could try searching the Hotpoint site for a DWF61, long shot but it is the same basic Bosch machine, just the free standing model.

EDIT, Just had a quick look at the user manual and can’t see anything, some of the Bosch experts may have an idea.

If you look very carefully along the top edge of the stainless steel inner door you should be able to make out the original Bosch Enr number.
Just double checked and your user manual is here.

    Re: IWDE126 error 1+2+4 flashing?

The fan is inside the dryer assy, the ntc is mounted into the side of the dryer ducting and is a very common failure point. The condensor could also be blocked. You will have to strip down the dryer assy to examine fan, condensor and filters, after removing the mains plug of course.;)

Should be F13, Dryer related fault, NTC or connections, fan faulty or blocked.

Re: Indesit IDC85UK Condenser Dryer Not Filling Drawer

Is the pump working? Pour some water into the float chamber and see if it will pump it up into the water container. Check that the drain hole at the very back of the condenser chamber that leads into the float chamber is not blocked.

The pump impellors are prone to coming adrift on these pumps.
