Re: Indesit IWC6125SUK all lights flash when drain pump kick

When the horizontal lights flash some of the right hand vertical lights will be on steady, those give the error code.

Count the numbers of the vertical lights from BOTTOM to TOP, only the bottom five lights are used for error codes.

    Re: Zanussi door seal

It was the correct seal, large water inlet vent at top, not Chinese though.Ffirst one of these I have done, usual rip at the bottom due to trapping clothing in door. :rolls:

Not too bad to do as the front panel comes off quite easily, a bit difficult to get the new seal back on, definitely need a smear of washing up liquid as the concrete weight is very close.

Not been out to it yet, it could well be an inlet, possibly similar to the seals on the last British made Hoover washers.

Re: Indesit IWC6125SUK all lights flash when drain pump kick

The interlock connections fail because Indesit use very weak, cheap connectors, it may have damaged the main pcb. When you say ‘ALL’ the lights flash is it every single light or is there a horizontal row of lights flashing and another set of vertical lights on steady?

At eight years old it would be a total waste of money, pcb has to be programmed first. You could send the pcb off to EMW who will test and if needed repair it.

Re: EBAC washing machines launch in the spring

My understanding has always been that the enzymes work correctly when introduced to cooler water then heated. If the water is too hot to start with the enzymes are killed off before they have had chance to work.

Biological detergents clean in the same way as non-biological ones with additional effects from the enzymes, whose purpose is to break down protein, starches and fat in dirt and stains on clothing to be laundered, for example food stains, sweat and mud. Tests by the Consumers’ Association in the UK published in their Which? magazine rated the cleaning performance of washing powders based on stain removal, whiteness, and colour fading. It was found that the performance of various makes of biological powders ranged from 58{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} to 81{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}, and non-biological powders scored from 41{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} to 70{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}. The enzymes in biological detergents enable effective cleaning at lower temperatures than required by normal detergents, but are denatured at higher temperatures[1]—about 50 °C is recommended.[2] A biological detergent can contain ?-amylase, a cellulase, a protease and a lipase.[3]

We don’t have the error codes for that model but lights 1+3 on previous models are supposed to relate to the pressure switch or blocked filters. Can also be a failure of the main circulation pump.

And hitting modern biological detergents with very hot water kills the enzymes before they have had a chance to work correctly.

Hard to say, not an error code so very likely to be a main board failure. 🙁

    Re: Hotpoint FDL 570

That all depends on ones technical abilities. 😉 Changing the turbine is not that difficult and not a major expense but other things can cause that error code. poor water pressure, inlet valve, connections, timer, or the water
    turbine.

It shouldn’t really cause a rumbling noise either but the main circulation pump on these Indesit dishwashers is also a known weak point.

Supposed to be a fill time out error, water fill turbine most likely cause.

Proof that nothing really changes, I remember being shown this film ( no such thing as video then) when I first started at Hotpoint well over 40 years ago. 🙁
