Re: Hotpoint WT54O Flashing rinse hold light

Third light (rinse hold) flashing is F02. Motor or tacho fault.

If you are very lucky it could just be a dodgy motor plug wiring connection, I had an Indesit machine, (which this is) on Friday with same fault code that was a simple broken wire to the motor.

If the motor wiring checks out the either the motor or the main pcb could be faulty.
Could be motor brushes but they should give different symptoms, still worth checking those as well.

The resistance of any thermistor varies with temperature, for this one you should see,
    @ 0°..36000 ohms
    @25°..12000 ohms

No hard and fast rules for removing the condenser, you just have to follow your nose. 😉

Only the bottom five lights are used for error codes.

If you have used the dryer without checking or cleaning out a blocked filter as advised it will fail swiftly.

The machine runs a diagnostics check and if it finds any faults it will not run, just go into error mode.

Hmmm, never had to change lifters on any Bosch machine before, those holes that look as though they are for fixing screws look a bit worrying. ❓

You will have to remove the condenser to clean filter, a rather difficult task on an Indesit made, sealed drum machine. You can see the lint filter in the attached diagram.

Re: Hotpoint HV7L130 washing machine won’t fill / pump repai

From what I have heard from forum member johnnyj who is a franchise engineer there are times when reprogramming the module is the only option.

Have you checked or cleaned out the drain pump filter?

From bottom to top by number, which of the lower five right hand, VERTICAL lights are on steady?

    Re: Windows 10

Install appears to have gone smoothly, very clean lines, familiar on screen tiles that are on my Windows phone. The new Edge browser does appear to be very fast, just need to change Bing to Google in it. The ‘reading view’ in Edge is very good for reading the forums, so far so good.

The iso file downloaded from the Windows web site fairly fast but fortunately I do have Virgin Media’s 150+ MB service. 8) Just done a full system backup, will give it a go later. 🙂

It gives you the option of downloading as a straight update/install or as an iso mirror. Decided on that option as it gave me time to back up and prepare.

    Re: Windows 10

Did you get the auto download Andy.

I have manually downloaded an ISO copy and burned it to DVD but have not installed it yet.

Any problems with the update, I am running Win 7 pro ATM which has been rock solid up to now.

    Jim.
