It is a ‘normal’ motor but heaven knows why you need to take it to your workshop. You cannot run the motor out of the machine in any safe way. You can check the brushes in 30 seconds once you have removed it from the machine. Changing them takes couple a of minutes, either on the kitchen floor or on top of the washing machine with suitable protection.

For the third time I ask you to please take the motor off and check the brushes before you run it again, running a machine with worn brushes could lead to far more expensive failure. 🙁

Part 11 is listed as ‘Adhesive Sponge Seal’.

The complete assy surrounded by the dotted lines in the diagram is No 17 which is described as ‘Freezer multi flow+ sponges 602 x 401 MEC’.

    Part No: C00301995

It could be a foreign body in the drain pump.

It’s an Indesit, the fact that anything works at all is minor miracle most of the time. No point worrying about anything else until you have checked the brushes. however ordering them first before checking is not the best course of action. This machine uses three different motors for a start so you need to remove to inspect and verify just which motor is fitted.

There are no service manuals to speak of. I would be checking the motor brushes first of all. 😉

    Re: Won’t fill OR Drain

Depends how much water has got onto the pump. If you don’t re seal the inlet hose where it slots into the front of the drum then the fault will happen again. Peel back the door seal and you will see the offending hose directly above the pump. A classic piece of Italian a design. :rolls:

The leak is not a big one but I would be examining that connector plug very closely. They often burn across the contacts and if that has happened then it will certainly have taken out the pcb.

Re: Hotpoint washer dryer wd420 error!!

Sounds like a fill problem, is this machine a hot & cold fill or cold fill only, a WD420 can be either.

What is the full serial number on the rating plate?

PS. Not the best machine to buy second hand, it will already be between 8 and 11 years old and is basically an Indesit internally. 🙁
