    Re: Hose clips

Likewise, keep a stock of the common, thinner jubilee clips with me, would never dream of using cable ties on internal dishwasher hoses.

Thanks Bryan, as George is fairly local I rang him first. He thinks he has one but will let me know for certain in the morning. Will let you know if I still need one.

    Re: Amica/AW23 bearings

Just been back to this one, lasted just over a month. :rolls:

The bearing seal that came with the second kit is different to the one I received last month???

The one on the left is the new seal, as I regularly get sent the wrong bearings and on a couple of occasions the wrong seal it looks as though the stock picking gremlins have struck again. 🙁

is it noisy if you spin the drum by hand through door opening ? it should be virtually silent ?

If it is noisy the main bearing will be the likely cause. quite expensive and extensive repair. 🙁

Part number is a C00229478, cost around £25.00. You could try the ‘Find an Engineer’ facility using the SEARCH link at the top of the forum. A well built cooker which should have plenty of life left in it.

Not at home ATM to look up part numbers etc, stat not expensive but not a simple DIY fix. Both sides have to be removed and complete hob has to be released and moved to the side.

Or didn’t do a professional quality repair by using thin jubilee clips or correct original style clips.

Fault can only be in the timer unit, around £75.00. 🙁

Re: Hotpoint Creda SPC61 Main Oven not switching off

Main switch??? Basic parts diagram only shows a main oven control which is the thermostat. It doesn’t show a switch for changing between functions which is what would be called a main switch.
It does point towards the main oven thermostat failing.
