ModeratorI can’t check atm but if that machine has a brush gear motor then worn motor brushes or poor connections at the motor wiring plug would be the first things to check.

ModeratorThat type of pump is prone to failing with age, if it is making a grinding sort of noise then it would be a good idea to replace it, not an expensive item. If the pump impellor has any side to side movement then it’s goosed.

ModeratorIf I was to add together all the hours I spent watching clothes going round in the approx 48 years in the trade it would amount to weeks or even months.:(

ModeratorI’m retired now but changed loads of those capacitors, had around a 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} success rate. Tbh the Indesit electronics in this machine have been rather poor for many years. Not sure if I still have any tech on this machine on my main PC, will have a look later.

ModeratorPS. Did you test the heating element for insulation as well as resistance and continuity?

ModeratorIf ALL the lights are flashing that is not a specific error code. Generally the pump either works or it doesn’t. Poor flow is always due to an obstruction somewhere. However even a drain time out would give a specific error code.

ModeratorAll lights flashing was a very common fault caused by the largest of the three capacitors that are close together in the middle of the board. Did you use the correct capacitor and even more important did you ensure correct polarity when replacing?
