ModeratorFrom the date of the post you linked to you will gather that your machine will be at least six years old but almost certainly older. It points to a failure of the main circuit board which given it’s age may render it BER, (beyond economic repair). Time to get in touch with your landlord methinks.

ModeratorThat model number looks like an older machine than two years old tbh. What is the full serial number and commercial code from inside the door?

ModeratorIt’s a normally open micro switch , float rises, switch makes a circuit that switches on the drain pump, cuts off the main motor and triggers an error code. If you look very closely at the side of most micro switches you will a small diagram indicating which contacts are made when no pressure is applied to the pip.

ModeratorZanussi is a million miles from the quality it was 20 years ago, a lot of current Zanussi production is from China. PS. Take Which reports with a pinch of salt, some of their recommended ‘best buys’ of the last 15/20 years have been some of the worst machines on the market, even Indesit was listed as a BB on Which a few years ago.
It’s ironic that you mention EU rules to force manufacturers to do something that they all actually did 20 to 30 years ago. They don’t need to know how to design machines that will last 10,15 or even 20 years, most of them have already done it. If people only buy the cheapest or should I say if price is the first consideration then that is what manufacturers will provide and as profit margins get squeezed even the ertswhile quality brands like Bosch, Zanussi and even Miele start to cut corners or import cheaper rebranded appliances from China, Turkey etc.iadom
ModeratorUnplug and remove the outer door panel. From there you can carefully examine the wiring harness for breaks, look near the places the wire bends. You will need suitable test equipment to test the dispenser drawer solenoid.

ModeratorSeveral possibilities unfortunately. Faulty dispenser, faulty control module, wiring harness breaks etc.

ModeratorBasically scrap, sounds like a seized compressor, Hisense is cheap Chinese but any repair will be totally uneconomic. Could easily have been damaged in transit.

ModeratorMust add that you cannot possibly WASH anything properly in 30 minutes. You can freshen them up but they won’t be WASHED. They will still be full of bacteria etc. ๐

ModeratorA door lock fault, is the latch faulty or door not closed properly. Could also be the doorlock itself at fault.
