No, it’s the threaded end of the pipe that breaks under the plastic retaining nut that is on the inside.

It is a very common failure, something I have replaced many times in the past.

You access the top of the pipe from inside the tub.

Several models end in 53X, with two very different types of fan motor. Looking at the door handles as well then I would guess it is the most common type of motor fitted to Hotpoint cookers, C00230134. That one is over £55 but the Alternative is every bit as reliable in my experience.

Of course you could drag it out to take a look, the other type of fan motor does not have the large round mounting plate like that one does.

A very common fault on Zanussi made dishwashers. Trying to seal it would be a bit of a bodge and the part required ( the complete plastic tube ) is not that expensive. Getting it connected back up at the lower end can be a bit of a fiddle but can be done with a bit of patience.
I will try and find the part number with the model number you have given but to be certain we really need the Pnc or Product number from the rating plate.

Re: Hotpoint dishwasher FDM550 fault codes

The salt & Rinse Aid lights should be flashing for any error code, the other lights give the correct code which in your case is supposed to be blocked filters or pressure switch fault.
Mesh plate, filter or microfilter, pressure switch,
circulation pump can all cause this problem although in most cases on Indesit machines it is the main circulation motor that fails. 🙁

Full list of codes is HERE Different model number but codes are the same.

That’s the part Dave, good find, must be 10 to 15 years since I last fitted one.

Re: AEG Oko_Lavalat 86800 error code CE

Old German made AEG machines did use C codes.

CE error code= Water distributer fault (this machine has a small motor in the dispenser to select the compartment to fill through, this in turn operates a microswitch inside the dispenser. If this has not been activated within 2 mins, then this code is displayed*very common fault we find

Not sure if this part is still available, would need all the numbers from the rating plate to find out. Many years since I fitted one, think it came as a soap dispenser top assembly.

Can you give us a proper model number?

Usually 05 fault codes relate to the main circulation pump, not the drain pump.

Sounds like a main pcb fault. :rolls:

Try it with half a capful and try to close the drawer as gently as possible and see what happens. A capful of concentrated conditioner is a bit too much anyway.

Usual cause of this is either over filing the conditioner compartment or slamming the drawer instead of pushing it in gently.

Have you checked the stats at the back, the neutral feed goes through the one shot stat on certain models.

    Re: Replacement tumble drier?

Sadly you have got it the wrong way round, the Indesit dryer was made by Hotpoint as is the new one, or it may now even be a rebadged Whirlpool. The Indesit Company took over Hotpoint many years ago and Whirlpool bought the whole lot a couple of years ago.

Edit, just checked that model number is based on the long standing Hotpoint design.
