Yeaaaaa go Kenneth, go Kenneth, go K

    Well you get the message!

A member posting the odd one off I have no problem with.

Loonies like this whom are taking the urine can go copulate unless they help pay for the service provided, cos I am damned sure all the local press and trade mags make a charge.

    Rant over

    I speak only for us.

Before we do anything we understand exactly what the manufacturer wants to do with such calls, some will say a catergoric no, some will say call us and we will review on a case by case basis, one says just get the customer off our back and keep them happy.

Before we attend the call, we speak to the customer and have them agree to certain things, like the charge to be paid if they are out, the charge if it’s misuse and the charge for no fault founds.

This conversation is recorded for evidential purposes. The customer is fully aware if this from the outset and we take there full name as part if the process.

On attendance, the engineer asks them to sign his job sheet showing he attended, and the time he arrived, this document also forms part if our terms and conditions of business and two clauses within it which join the customer in joint and several liability for the debt being created for the call.

In the event if a NFF the engineer simply records this on his job sheet and asks the customer to sign to accept that is the case and then leaves.

We do not charge the customer at this point.

The next working day, our admin centre review the overnight engineer updates and, depending on the client, will either contact them for authorisation to bill a NFF, or automatically bill it to the client or send an invoice and letter to the customer for payment.

Should the client decline the request to authorise a bill for a NFF we then just the customer.

If the customer doesn’t pay up within seven days of the invoice, we issue a LBA letter before action point out we will proceed to court unless payment is received within a further 7 days, and that costs will be added to the account.

10 days later we issue proceedings if the bill is not paid.

By joining the customer to the original liability and getting them to signing the job sheet and having the telephone recording the customer does not have a defence to the liability and if we want to really get down and sh1tty with it vomits an act of fraud by obtaining goods and services by deception.

What we find is most warranty providers decide to pay us then block the customer from further warranty calls as they know full well what we will do and the problems our actions cause.

Thankfully we have very few that cause an issue, perhaps 20 or so got escalated to court summons being issued in the last year our of 36000 jobs.

We have more cancel the job before we attend than find problems later. which we assume means they have gone away to resolved it themselves!

I firmly believe in getting the front end sorted first, we stop problems at the end of the job. However, it costs a lot of time, effort and money getting the systems into place to do this.

Re: In search of the fourth cord

Guys I am fine, it was caught very early, the Chemo which is ongoing at present has shrunk it and a now it’s also twice a week radio therapy whilst I wait for the new knee to be made, hopefully just a few more weeks to go.

I just sit having my chemo infusion which takes about an hour, reading the forums and pee myself laughing at some of these posts. Seriously the nurses think I am just a joker here!

Jamie/Ade, whatever he is, one minute too tight to spend £70 on WTA membership because it doesn’t pay him anything (despite getting that and more back via schemes like the PL&EL insurance thing) 2 minutes later looking to spend £700 a man (and when you do the maths is supposed to indicate 5 guys) on training guys at Dixons who once trained couldn’t diagnose a hole in a door seal without supervision for a while. Anyone know anyone whom did this type of course and instantly was a decent reliable unsupervised engineer, nope I thought not.

Then he posts as its Ade peed all over again, claims you accused him of working in Cardiff when he doesn’t, only forgetting of course that one of his earliest posts about National Home whatyoumaycallit he said he covered Cardiff. He really does think we are all as stupid as he is!

The problem Jim is you, me, Ken and almost all others on here are men of integrity and honour, Dildo, Jamie / Ade, are con men without honour and we find it difficult to accept those types of people in our lives.

Me, I now just laugh at them now, life as I have just almost learnt is far too shot. At 43 years of age I shouldn’t know that but I do.

Jim enjoy the holiday, you deserve it. There are a great deal of people on here whom totally respect the help and assistance you give freely on here daily, me especially, and this place wouldn’t be the same without you! Sadly we don’t say it enough and I am to blame for that too. So thanks Jim!!!!

Return to us safely Sailor, but enjoy the trip to the maximum life will legally allow you to.

    Very sad

I have known Dave Coombes for nearly 30 years, he was even at my wedding.

He is a man of outstanding integrity.

If he has left under such circumstances there is a reason for it which would, IMHO, focus attention back inwards at the current regime running DASA and what they expect to get out if the organisation again!

Oldtog, good to hear from you on hear again Dave, keep us informed with the facts as you understand them so we can avoid the usual bashing between parties occurring.

I wish DASA all the best during this difficult time!

    Best regards

It’s a big standard Vestel item so it will be under something else. Holme is the brand name used by Asda for in house product.

Search this sites shop for part number 42002568, I think its in stock with them too!
