Re: ISE Appliances cease trading-who deals with warranty cla

The solution(s) to the problem of ise are exactly as jackal said.
Bottom line as retailer we are have to take the hit one way or another within the sogh. Its down to how you deal with it.
The ise10 machines are built well so i don’t foresee many issues and where there are genuine warranty covered ones i have several options to satisfy the customer and minimise my losses.

Its not great by any means and there were indicators re ise a while ago, hence why along with others stopped selling their products (which collectively pushed ise down further) a business decision.

the more common part numbers do show up in connections, either under asko, gorenje and maytag. the downside is they are quite expensive and in most cases special order however its one of the options for future problem solving in this whole mess.

guess we will find out in time. takeovers usually mean something changes invariably not for the good.

    Re: comet…again!!!

Their website now shows a ‘we are upgrading message’ eihter its crashed where so many people are trying to find where their orders are or its already in shutdown. Not good for anyone this kind of thing (except maybe currys who’s share price has jumped on the back of it)

    Re: Commercial Or Domestic Use?

The area of light commercial/ heavy commercial is a bit vague imo. Now unless iam mistaken there is no way of seeing how many hrs of use the ise machines have been given, miele’s record this information and the enigneers use it (so i have been told) to evaluate such circumstances, even domestic environments can be using a machine like a commercial setting, what im coming to is it not possible to in the next generation of ise appliances to have this info coded in ? Then a statistic of xxxx hours = x years of use. customer knows this, retailer knows this, ise knows this, e1 is then fully aware of what is expected. just a thought 🙂

Re: Bosch Neff Half Moon Element Removal

take the oven out, lay it backwards, with the nut and D washer removed squirt some brake cleaner on the shaft, let it penetrate for a minute or two then the fan should just lift off with hardly any effort.

This method has been mentioned before on here by someone else and it does work.

    Re: ISE10 Delivery

I have very recently had a right nightmare with a delivery of a cd601w. The problem lies with Highway express, 3 times they messed it up (same mistake didnt load it on the delivery vehicle 😕 ) How a company stays in business being run like they do i have no clue. But David (from ise) finally got them to do what they are supposed to do ie deliver an appliance they are being paid to deliver. Ridiculous situation but between David and I the customer is happy now. Just dont believe what the people @ highway express tell you !!! A delivery date isnt a delivery date with them.

Re: Card Payment facility incl terminal

there seems to be a trend developing regarding mobile terminals and the contracts surrounding them. i have had mine from payment sense for about 15 months nothing but problems re signal (vodafone) i was under the impression i was getting a roaming sim but didnt, numerous phone calls over the period i have had it for no signal, they get vodafone to refresh the sim then its ok for a while. atm i cant take any payments in my area due to vodafone having a fault with no date of resolution (29/06 it started). the leasing company of the equipment and payment sense just say its not their problem!!! vert frustrated. called the merchant bank to get the transaction put through manually, 10 days min time!! and they wonder why people are so cynical about banks etc etc. They told me yesterday i could cancel my contract, £190 + vat + 2 months terminal rental. Nice! Are they all the same? im beginning to think they are.

    Re: Trade Secrets?

The issue is not so much the fact this or any other information is not available elswhere but the fact a certain amount of trust in what is posted in the technical forums by people stays there. As has been said many times before as an industry its very tough and the leaking of information into the public domain is somewaht unavoidable but what is to be gained from ‘well other sites do it so lets do it to’ attitude? Most skill sets wether its legal, engineering etc are something an individual instinctively protects so scenarios like this one are bound to annoy/get the backs up of people when really it wasnt necessary to do imo.

    Re: Trade Secrets?

The closed forum for trade is or was specifically just that ‘trade’. if postings between trade members are going to be then moved over into the public domain it begs the question why not make it all open to everyone, lets not just slowly sail down the river but put a dirty great engine on the back to propel us faster!
