for approx 170 quid more you can get yourself a miele premier 500, 1200 spin, 5 year warranty, design life of between 15-20 years, nothing comes close 🙂

    Re: Qualtex Increase Staff

this doesnt want to turn into a washvac/partscenter bashing thread but there are alot of disgruntled (ex) washvac customers, ive even heard it from the washvac rep about 2 months ago internally there is massive frustrations.

wolsley as most of us know are a massive plc, they effectively give no regard for the customers of washvac, they have gone into an area of business they have no knowledge of, ie how we work (we are not the plumbing industry). eventually due to the massive loss of business (washvac) are suffering will end in the stockholders of wolsely looking at partscentre and wanting to ditch it, after all if a company isnt returning a decent dividend it gets dumped.

as this is the rumour forum 1 year or less are the murmerings i have heard.

so wayne even though you are trying your best to make things better i think you will fail , your own colleagues are so demoralised over the whole business.

washavc is dead, it was a great company but alas like alot of takeovers ends up getting asset stripped and slides into oblivion.

    Re: Qualtex Increase Staff

That is their very intention ‘to clean up’ i like others spent alot of money with washvac over the years, but no more. if anyone who doesnt have an account already with qualtex but is a washvac/partscentre account holder who is looking for an alternative pm me and i can give you a number of a rep (an ex washvac employee).

    🙂

    Re: Qualtex Increase Staff

qualtex have taken on a few ex employees (buyers, sales, tech staff as they called them) from washvac, they have bought the rights to stocklink which is currently being updated for their needs and will be available , so im told, free to account holders. They are also heavily investing and making their operations much bigger , acquring other smalelr spares businesses, investment into packaging machinery, IT equipment etc. Where they mostly supplied pattern parts that is all to change as they can now supply gen stuff as well.

Stocklink is suppsoed to be available early nov.

    Re: washvac

first off if you go to http://www.washvac.com <—note .com you can use the old system, using their crappy new system you have to enter the part number into the box labeled keyword search.

    Re: washvac

i was told today that all the accounts dept in kent were made redundent last week, also if you have moved premises in the last 3 months there is a high probability your statements/invoices will be sent to your old address, the reason being they dumped the data to pull across into the wolsely accounts 3 months ago ! Something i discovered today. All accounts are now being administered up north somewhere (well up north to me lol) i have got them to put a password on my account so nothing can be ordered without it as i have had some invoices sent to a previous address and as we know they contain our account numbers! I suggest anyone who has changed their address to get onto them pronto.

Re: Miele PCB £600? Surely not?

as a foot note miele have approx 80{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} nff on boards returned to them from their own engineers, so is it really a board problem ?

Re: Miele PCB £600? Surely not?

i doubt that is the cost of the pcb (half that easily), plus there would be an exchange price for it ne way, and if the customer goes back to the miele agent they bought it from they would be able negiotate a good will claim unless they bought it from a shed then well they shouldnt have lol

needs more investigating imo as miele are quite flexible in my experiience.

Re: Miele T5206 Tumble Dryer heater contactor

miele spares are expensive but then miele are the top end manufacturer and if you can afford the product then you can afford to pay what it costs to fix it. i never have a problem with customers not wanting to pay the price for fixing their miele. on the whole miele customers dont penny pinch., they just want th job done and will even pay the extra to get the spares on overnight so they can be back in action within 24 hrs. 🙂

    Dont publish rates then ?
