As I said above, check the heater resistance values. The heater has two circuits so one can fail and the water will still get warm.
I very much doubt it will be a controller problem.John

Pretty confident but you can’t be sure without checking the resistance values of the heater.
If you take out the basket and then the round stainless plate inside the dishwasher you will see the top of the heater plate, it is the enamelled plate between the plastic tub and the rotor motor in the middle. It comes out from the underside of the tub but if you are going to try to remove it make a careful note of how you get it out as it can be tricky to get back in once dismantled. It would be nearly impossible to describe how to remove without seeing it done but if you attack it from the bottom you will get there, once you have done it you will understand why it is hard to describe how to do the job 😆

F4 is a faulty heater plate, not the easiest of jobs to do if you have not seen it done before.

Sounds like a faulty heater plate which is probably not a DIY option.
Click on the dishwasher repair link below to find a local engineer to repair this.

I would like to share an experience with you all, about drinking and driving.
As you well know, some of us have been known to have had brushes with the authorities on our way home from the odd social session over the years.
A couple of nights ago, I was out for a few drinks with some friends and had a few too many beers and Knowing full well I may have been slightly over the limit, I did something I’ve never done before – I took a bus home.
I arrived home safely and without incident, which was a real surprise, as I have never driven a bus before and am not sure where I got it from!Re: Another joke.
The lady next door confronted me today about items missing from her washing line.
I nearly sh*t her pants.

It might be one of the models that Stoves supply a stat kit for, these kits come with both stats, both switches,assorted wiring and a set of knobs. Would be worth checking with Stoves to see if the kit fits.

on the GDHA website it lists 082558001 as the part number for the stat and it says that the part is in stock, take a look and see if it is the same one as in the picture.
