Re: AEG induction hob glass top

two versions of that hob according to AEG but it appears to be the same hob glass, part number 561 00 98-11/2 and comes in at a reasonable price :eeek:
CDSL don’t list this part so it looks like you will need to buy direct from AEG.

Re: John Lewis Daewoo f/f manual??

    Hi Bob,

That is the model number on the job and it also appears on CDSL in the Daewoo fridge freezer section as well, I assume it is a special for John Lewis, On the job notes it says that the filter light is continuously flashing, is this just a timed alarm to change the filter and if so how is it reset?

    thanks

Re: What’s the most stupid things customers say?

I went to install a replacement gas cooker last week for an insurance company. The old cooker had been damaged whilst being moved. It was one of those sheltered housing bungalows for pensioners and when I got there I unpacked the the new cooker and then noticed that there was no gas supply in the kitchen.

I explained to the old dear that I could not install as there was no gas pipe to which she said “the old one worked fine before it was damaged” I thought I better check again and sure enough there was no gas pipe anywhere in the kitchen and then I noticed all the boxes in her living room.

After some subtle questioning i found out that the old one did work fine before the removal men took it from her old house ( with a gas supply ) to her new bungalow ( with no gas supply )

We all get old eventually :rotfl:

    Hi Chris,

Assuming that the water is at the correct level, the wash pump is running and that there is no damage to the harness the only other components that I could see that would cause this would be the OWI switch or a control board.

    Re: Whirlpool 3RLSQ8033SW2 Outer Tub

    Hi Graham,

Change the centre post gasket as well just to be sure, they sometimes fall apart when the tub is removed especially if it is a few years old. The job in general is pretty easy and will probably take you 30 minutes on your first try.

Nescafe manages to arrange a meeting with the Pope at the Vatican.

After receiving the papal blessing, the Nescafe official whispers, “Your
eminence, we have an offer for you. Nescafe is prepared to donate
£100 million to the church if you change the Lord’s Prayer from ‘Give us
this day our daily bread’ to ‘Give us this day our daily coffee’.”

The Pope responds, “That is impossible. The Prayer is the word of the Lord,
    It must not be changed.”

Well,” says the Nescafe man, “We anticipated your reluctance. For this
Reason, we will increase our offer to £300 million. All we require is that
you change the Lord’s Prayer from ‘Give us this day our daily bread’ to
Give us this day our daily coffee’.”

Again, the Pope replies, “That, my son, is impossible. For the prayer is
the word of the Lord and it must not be changed.”

Finally, the Nescafe guy says, “Your Holiness, we at Nescafe respect your
adherence to your faith, but we do have one final offer. We will donate
£500 million – that’s half a billion quid – to the great Catholic church if
you would only change the Lord’s Prayer from ‘Give us this day our daily
bread’ to ‘Give us this day our daily coffee’. Please consider it.” And he
    leaves.

The next day the Pope convenes the College of Cardinals. “There is some
Good news,” he announces, “and some bad news….. The good news
is that the Church will come into £500 million.”

“And the bad news, your Holiness?” asks a Cardinal.

    “We’re losing the Hovis Account.”
