    Re: Air Sled

Well I bit the bullet and ordered two of these from the sunny USA and am not dissapointed. Tried mine first on my own Whirlpool side by side, mine’s is the ARG488 which is the biggest of the original American ones and it moved it with ease even though it was full. Went to a customer today with a Mercury 1200 beastie which is in a new kitchen with a brand new solid oak floor, and once again it pulled it out easily.,

The lady was about 5 ft tall and 8 stone if she was just fed and was impressed so i told her to push it back in with 1 finger which she did.

I spoke to Airsled before ordering and they said that there was not a UK importer but I could order direct, total cost for 2 of them was £980 including shipping.

All you do is slide the two ski’s under the appliance and connect the hoses to the air pump, it takes about 2 minutes to set up. The bonus is that you can also use it to vac out the car as it has a vacuum cleaner built in 😆

If it was an internal leak it would activate the flood sensor so I would be looking at the external hoses. If you have a slight drip from right below the drawer front check the solenoids on the dispenser and softener unit.

It is a flapper heater low current fault, usually caused by a broken connection in the wires at the top hinge on the LH door.

Re: Anyone want antique paper manuals

I once knew a guy in Scotland who was into really old machines and had a small museum above his shop. I was wondering if anyone had a similar set up down here.

I started to look through the old A4 folder manuals and it brought back memories of repairing hoover 375’s in the shop, those were the days when a brush roll came in about 30 bits and every part was available, I also found a wiring diagram for the keymatic timers that used to terrify me when I 1st started in the trade, if you dropped a wire you had to search through the spaghetti to try and find it.

I also loved the A5 books that came later where you had all the information for all the Hoover models made that year in one book.

I just had a thought, these paper manuals came out before the microfiche of the 90’s most of the young guys on here wont have saw a microfiche either :rotfl:

    Hi Paul,

Go to F&P’s australian site here http://www.fisherpaykel.com/au/support/user-manuals/ and you will be able to download a parts manual.

You will need the PN number for the appliance to search for your manual, it will probably be one of these numbers 90105 91105 93105 93135
