ParticipantRe: remove thread?
I think that his post is out of order and that he has lost the plot on this one.
I would imagine the best think to do with this thread is to delete all the posts from the offending one onwards due to the fact that he has “UKW moderator” next to his name.
I also think that Ken should have him over his knee for a good spanking and remind him that being a moderator is not the same as being a storm trooper 😆

ParticipantRe: Public Advice
Looking at this thread I am sure all will agree that the punter is going to try and repair this himself.
Do the mods think that Bryan is putting himself in a sticky position if the customer strips down the gas taps and it goes BANG after repair is done.
Penguin45 wrote:Any way we can put up some sort of note for Trade Members if they wish to assist in the Public Forums? Safety first, that sort of thing? Personally, I think that this little thread could go SO wrong!
When someone applies for trade membership would it not be prudent to send them an email welcoming them to the site with a set of guidelines of what they can and cannot say to members of the public. I know there is the info for joe public in the “Why We Cannot Give You Specific Technical Information” page but it would be interesting to know how many members have looked at this info and have taken it in?

ParticipantRe: work provider’s
Of all the providers/manufacturers I have worked with I can say without a doubt that Fisher & Paykel are the best, their training and technical support is spot on and they also give out good pens 😆

Hi Mark,
I have checked with Croydon and have been told there is no plan to stop producing SIOS disks.John

ParticipantRe: whirlpool arg498g icemaker
Hi Den,
Check the tube that goes through the back of the freezer wall, saw a few of these with the tube full of frozen water.
Problem caused by water valve not quite closing properly and letting a dribble through which freezes in the pipe just inside the freezer..
