They do it for the love not the money. It is as a great experience platform and ideal for those wishing to start a career in the field service business. Many of us guys on here at one time or another worked for them, learned a lot, wized up and then started out on our own…… fact! 😉

I dont do it for the love i just want to get through their work as fast as i can and get on with my own, i only do it so as i dont have all my eggs in the one basket if i’m slack with my own work i still have something coming in even though it is a pittance.

    Re: City & Guilds 2359.

When started many moons ago went out for a week with an old hand who was thorough and did everything by the book, i then was popped of to the training school for about a month when i came back i went out with the same engineer for another 3 weeks, that was the best training i could have had, on the other hand i could have been sent out with another senior engineer who was a nightmare and i’ve always believed i wouldnt be half the engineer i am today if i had been dumped onto him.

    Re: Hpt t/d – AQCF532BI – Belt fitting

You have had a bad day!

Been a while since i fitted a belt to a condensor type myself, but frommemory its not that much more complicated than a vented type, you should be able to get away with removing the front panel, and sliding the belt over the drum, then with the side panel removed you should be able to put thebelt on as i described earlier….if i am incorrect, im sure someone helpful will correct me!

    I wont take offence LOL

    Martin
Taking the front panel of allows you to check the condition of the front bearings at the same time but i prefer removing the rear bearing pin and push the back panel back to allow the belt to be slipped over the drum, dont think there is much in it timewise to be honest.
