It does make you wonder about the whole free market thing as as being a reason to be in the eu it seems its free for everyone.

Makes you wonder why Beko are being condemned now, maybe the current govt’s ploy regarding EU rules, the current bank proposal, another reason for controlling the EU or getting out.

My Spanish relatives have not had any media coverage on Beko safety issues, yet there popular in Spain.

Prob’ly because Beko are starting to take market share off the big boys now and they are shitting themselves, Bosch, Indesit Candy etc, are having as much problems as beko at the moment with recalls but its not making such a big splash in the media.

I seem to recall something about changing the heat deflector as some of them were coming into contact with the element causing a hot spot on the element and causing them to blow. JJ

If they get the outs and the rebooks and cancelled calls all worked out the 2 o’clock finishes will be a thing of the past, i was talking to an engineer he was ahead by about an hour he then had an out call which you have to phone in it was for a drum he had been allocated 90 mins for plus travel, he was told since you are 60 mins ahead plus 90 mins for the job they will look for 150 mins work for him minus travel, he told them to fcuck of and look for 90 mins top, problem is most of these calls are’nt being replaced just now but they are working on it as we speak.

    Re: Hotpoint Bearings

Its the new all singing and dancing call handling system, each type of machine has an allocated time, set times for differant drums etc, a computor works out the travelling time to and from each job based on the hours worked, it then texts customers the night before if they have a mobile n/o when the engineer will visit, there is a lot more to it but basicly if you work in the sticks you win as you get allowed proper travel if you live in the citys or a tight area expect to do more than you did before if you are a franchise its a nightmare as it plans your day as if you are employed so when you start fitting in your own work as you go you end up hours behind and the phone calls start, there is a lot more but that is just a taster.Forgot to mention big brother also plans the route which can change umpteen times before it gets locked at a certain time.

Enjoy the slots while you can and the the extra £10, CRM is coming your way shortly, it should be fun watching it implode when it hits London and the big citys down south.

    Re: Hotpoint Bearings

Its getting to be an epidemic the amount of drums i fit , i’ve had 3 of the 11kg Aqualtis all under 9 months old with goosed bearings recently, i wouldnt like to be starting out like i did 30 years ago with 40 plus years in front of me until retirement and all these drums to fit and the the powers that be keeping moving the retirement age their bodys will be shot by then mind you will be a win win for the government as they will probly be that knackered they wont last long after hitting the pension.
