ParticipantThanks gent’s,
Looks like a board fault, as heating element insulation remains good when the programme fails, and unaffected when wires are removed from it.
Customer probably buying a new w/d but I wonder if you sent all three modules to QER? (Programme, Control & Display Modules)
jontyp.s. sad to see EMW have ceased trading recently.

Well Dave, you’re right again!
The element was causing the problem/s, and I’ve replaced it.
It was severely corroded/damaged, and I wonder why it didn’t trip?
Thanks again,jonty

ParticipantWell, having done a little research the problem may well be due to a faulty heater relay on the main board.
Although the dishwasher heats up, I wonder if anyone has come across this problem on Bosch/Neff/Siemens, as Gaggenau are part of their stable?

ParticipantHave had a look at the info’ Dave, but will probably have to admit defeat on this problem, as I renewed the board earlier today and the fault remains.
I just don’t know why, and feel the need to cut my losses….
Thanks again for your help.

January 26, 2021 at 9:27 am in reply to: Bosch SPS40E22GB/32 dishwasher emptying and filling simultaneously #474668jontymox
ParticipantWiring to and from flow sensor to board good, so suspect board sending and receiving incorrect “messages.”
Has anyone found the board to be at fault for this problem, as customer would like d/w repairing?
