ParticipantRe: Baumatic BDS670SS Int’ Dishwasher error code E3
Fine water leak from heater hose, causing E4 error code.
Difficult to locate, but now all well.

ParticipantRe: Hoover DYN10146P W/M Electronics?
Fitted a new main electronic control module earlier today, and all was well for about two minutes, then pop, and pcb blown!
Contacted Hoover for advice… not available/no help.
Susoect drive motor, as damage to pcb closest to seven pin terminal connection.
Any thoughts/advice welcome.

I’ve been in touch with Hoover Spares, who inform me that there are three electronic modules, these being:
Programme Select Module, Control Panel Module and Main Electronic Control Module.
Any help much appreciated.

Thanks spanner51,
Have had another look at m/c today, and checked piston/operation.
This appears to be fine, and valve resistance suggests correct operation.
Heater, pipework and jets all look to be in very good condition.
I did clean the above last week.
Wonder if their is an air lock, which is very difficult to ascertain, plus hose water delivery only sporadic too.
Kind regards,
Jon

Thanks chaps,
Obviously should have leaned machine on its back… not upside down, which I have done before for better access, yet will this not also cause water to enter parts it should not?
Will report back with verdict!

Quite right Sir,
Will return to re-assess.
Wonder if fault will correct itself now back in usual position?
Kind regards,

ParticipantRe: Baumatic BDS670SS Int’ Dishwasher error code E3
Have now renewed the heater unit and thermistor…
Unfortunately, the m/c now displays error code E4 upon switching on!
My literature states that this means an overfill problem.
However, there is little/no water in the m/c.
The drain pump kicks in, so assume m/c in safety mode?
I did turn the m/c upside down to remove and renew above components, but there is no good reason for another error code to appear!
Any assistance much appreciated.

ParticipantRe: Hoover VHW854D Washer/Dryer TOC
Have now visited this appliance earlier today.
Tested/monitored operation – didn’t activate TOC/Safety ‘Stat
initially. However, customer let me know the first load is usually fine, but TOC activates on second load.
Ran a 30 minute drying cycle on high heat setting… no fault.
Electrically tested TOC’s, Thermistor and fan motor, which gave good Ohms readings.
However, during this period the TOC had activated itself!
Suspect weak TOC and/or Thermistor.
Is there anything else one should be checking, as operation fine otherwise?

ParticipantRe: Miele W827 w/m programme problems
Module appears fine as far as I can tell.
Unsure as to how to check for “dry joint” other than visual inspection.
Kind regards,

Have now checked carbon brushes.
Both are around half worn, and free in their holders etc.
Back to the drawing board!Jon

Thanks Dave,
Will check… didn’t realise that could cause such an obscure problem.

ParticipantRe: Miele W827 w/m programme problems
Have now tested heater, which is fine, as are inlet valves.
May have to refer customer to Miele, due to obscure nature of fault/s.
M/C works correctly on most/all selected wash programmes, then other times will quickly abort same selected programme… Pre-Soak light flashes briefly, before jumping to Anti-Crease/End.
Also, Check Inlet & Check Drain lights flash at random for a short period.

ParticipantRe: Miele W827 w/m programme problems
When I visited ascertained that m/c works on at least two “common” wash programmes, but unreliably. i.e. 40 cotton or 40 degree quick washes would cycle correctly on two occasions when selected, yet when tried again would create afore-mentioned prob’s.
Noticed “check inlet” & “check drain” lights illuminating, but not in any sequence, and only intermittently.
Will test heater.
