Re: Bosch SGS66A02GB/21 Dishwasher Tripping Out

    Good morning,

To conclusively test for low insulation I attach the positive lead of my Megger to the positive terminal of the heater, and the negative lead to the element itself.

As the heater in question is a remote unit, I did not carry out an insulation test as above, as I didn’t wish to break the unit in removing it from it’s plastic housing.

I was pretty sure the heater was the cause of the fault, as no tripping occurred when disconnected from the circuit… one clearly was mistaken, and can learn from this mistake!

In the meantime, could you please cease highlighting sentences, and commenting on them in such a sarcastic and humiliating manner?

    Thank you,

    jonty

    Thanks for your input Martin,

No, I didn’t megger the heater as the only way I know to correctly do so is to place one lead on the element itself.

I suspected the heater unit was faulty as the m/c didn’t trip when heater connection disconnected.

    Best wishes,

    Thanks for your input Seamy,

I obtained the replacement ‘stat, 082558001 but as you say a conversion kit is required.

However, Stoves and other suppliers assure me that no such kit is available!

    Will investigate further,

Re: Stoves 059056600 Range Oven Cutting Out

Returned earlier this week and confirmed oven thermostat faulty.

I did inspect and check the terminal block as suggested.

Unfortunately thermostat: 081835801 is now obsolete, and no replacement available through Stoves.

I’ve been unable to obtain the genuine or replacement part through the other usual channels/anywhere!

One supplier is kindly trying their best to obtain replacement.

In the meantime I would be grateful if sarcastic, unpleasant comments were not placed on this fine resource.

    Kind regards/best wishes,

Re: Stoves 059056600 Range Oven Cutting Out

    Evening all,

I am certainly not asking for a “remote diagnosis!”

As a relative newcomer, certainly to range ovens, I am quite simply tring to obtain some advice and information in order to become more conversant with such problems.

Ideally, I should have spent more time trying to diagnose the fault on my initial visit.

However, as I couldn’t conclusively fault the main thermostat, I thought I would see if I could obtain some info’ as I understand a safety thermostat may also be at fault for this problem.

Will return, and carry out further tests and inspections, which hopefully will shed some light on the issue.

    No,

Ideally I would like to rectify the problem first time, though realise this may not be possible.

Will let you know how it goes.

    Re: Siemens SE25M275GB/36 Dishwasher Prob’s

    Good morning,

Still struggling to get dishwasher to wash consistently.

The matrix does not fill fully as Martin enquired, and wonder if this is the underlying cause?

Where should I be checking as matrix is clear/unblocked, as is pipe from pressure chamber to pump.

    Regards,

    Re: Siemens SE25M275GB/36 Dishwasher Prob’s

    Good morning,

Have now re-set electronics, and set up test at workshop.

Machine will now operate at a reduced efficiency, notable by much less than normal amount of water being admitted, thus wash pump barely
    managing to spin spray arms.

Heating up fine, and hasn’t tripped out.

Unable to locate an impellor jug, which I understand can cause this problem, and wonder if there is a different device on this m.c?

Re: NEFF Integrated Microwave Oven H5642NOGB/02 Not Heating

    Thanks Dr.Drill,

Is is possible for me to partially strip the unit to check for anything obviously amiss?

    Or is that not recommended?

    Otherwise, NEFF engineer to advise.

    Kind regards,
