    Good morning,

I’ve ascertained that there are two thermal cut outs – one pre set @ 48 degrees, the other 180 degrees.

Can I assume the lower temp’ cut out is used for the grill?

    Best wishes,

    jonty

    Hello Bob,

Yes, the door was open when checking element operation.

You have raised a very good point regarding the function of the inner and outer element sections.

There was/is some confusion over the control switch operations, due to the customer being unsure, and no handbook available.

I will return and make sure we are actually setting the controls correctly, although did try them in several positions.

I’m beginning to suspect the switch, and will carry out further tests, unless you know of any other possible cause.

    Many thanks,

    jonty

    Good afternoon Andy,

I don’t think either were working.

The customer said the grill had been working “below par” for several weeks.

I should have checked rather than hoping new element would solve problem/s completely!

    Good evening,

Obviously, I cannot rule out a faulty capacitor, although the motor itself was faulty on the m/c I repaired last year.

    Best wishes,

    Thanks Dave,

I was a little concerned as the motor only runs relatively slowly.

Your helpful remarks may well mean all is well… time will tell!

    Kind regards,

    Jon

    Thanks Criscold,

No, I’ve been concentrating on the upper/heating/fan ventilation areas.

Could you let me know if the sensor you mention is located at the lower RH side of the machine, or if you are referring to possible broken wires down there?

    Thank you,

    Good afternoon Dave,

    Thanks for your help.

I did a quick search prior to posting new topic, and remain a little confused as one post suggests heater/relay fault.

Do you know if the “inverter” which controls the motor speed, relates to the tacho coil, and is part of the motor?

    Thanks again,

Re: Bosch KUL15A40GB/04 Larder Fridge Wiring Diagram

    Good evening Bob,

I’m sure all is well now with the fridge light in question.

Bosch have clearly modified the thermostat, as I have connected the blue to T3 yesterday as you suggested, and all fine.

The delay has been due to the couple visiting Germany for two weeks… lucky them.

    Thanks again,

    Thanks again Bob,

Not sure how to proceed with wiring up this thermostat correctly, as it will mean fitting larger terminals to one or two wires.

This may be the case, but I wonder why no modification information was supplied with the new genuine ‘stat?

I don’t wish to cause any damage to the new part, or wiring etc.

Re: Bosch KUL15A40GB/04 Larder Fridge Wiring Diagram

    Thanks Bob,

I originally connected black to T4, and blue to T4 too as T4 relates to two smaller terminals on the thermostat, and the black and blue female connectors will only fit this pair of terminals.

I originally fitted the brown wire to T3 as this was how the original was wired, and T6 was unused.

I’ve also tried the brown wire to T6, but the customer reported the internal lamp will only illuminate when the compressor is running!

Wondering if Bosch have modified the ‘stat/wiring, although there was no information to this effect with the new genuine part.

Perhaps I need to change the blue wire connection, and fit to T3?

    Head scratching time!

Perhaps someone could let me where to obtain a wiring diagram?

I’ve been unable to do so through Bosch.

    Thanks for your advice…

Will double check the mains filter, although unsure which connections to connect Megger to on wash pump/motor.

Original and new heater units give OL reading, and similar good Ohms readings of 28 to 30 Ohms.

    Best wishes,

    OK,

Shall remember that one can carry out an insulation test this way for future reference.

Quite why the m/c is tripping, I still don’t know, as it definetely relates to the heating circuit.
