    Re: Bosch SGS43E08GB/43 Dishwasher Problem

    Thanks Martin,

From memory, no, pressure switch not operating micro switch as m/c fills. Will confirm when I have opportunity.

On reflection, the m/c is taking 2-3 minutes to fill, and the circulating does not operate at all.

Will check pump continuity, although it spins freely.

Inlet valve gives a good Ohms reading, although now suspect.

    Re: Bosch SGS43E08GB/43 Dishwasher Problem

    Evening all,

Have now cleaned air break/matrix, pressure chamber/valve and inlet valve.

Machine will now fill, but upon reaching correct level, immediately drains for a few seconds, before filling for a few more seconds, then draining for a few seconds… etc

Have you come across this unusual sequence, which occurs on all programmes?

    Hello again Martin,

Visually inspected PCB yesterday, as I suspected it.

However, it looks fine… is there any way of testing it, or is that a specialist job?

    Kind regards,

    Jon

    Good morning Martin,

The anti-flood device appears fine, with both micro switches giving .3 Ohm readings when manually operated.

Are further tests of this system required/possible?

    Thank you,

    Jon

    Bob,

I think I’ve located the part online, (21001161)

Do you know if I will need any other parts for this problem, and where to obtain them, as I got the part number from an American website.

    Kind regards,

    Jon

    Sorry,

I meant up and down, not lateral spring tension/movoment!

    Hello Bob,

Thank you… that makes sense, as the springs are used more for lateral suspension.

Will try and ascertain part number.

    Kind regards,

    Jon

p.s. “snubber” ring is a new term for me!

    Hello Martin,

Not checked the water flow through the heater, but flowing into sump and washing well.

The microswitch attached to the heater is fine, giving a .2 Ohms reading.

    Bye for now.

    Good morning,

    Thank you so much Martin.

In the process of giving d/w a final test on its longest cycle, and your diagnosis was spot on.

Renewed heater unit, and flow sensor and all well.

    Thanks again,

Re: NEFF S44E43BOGB/23 Electronic Control Module Coding

Thank you for your feedback Martin,

I think I’ll bring the m/c in to carry out further inspection and tests.

There were no signs of burnt terminals etc, so will re-check this, and the heater.

Yes, the part number is 643036, which appears to fit several models.

However, I’ve been unable to determine the current model coding, after changing the module.

The main programme switch differs to the one in the literature, although I’ve turned it to position “5”, held “on” switch down for at least 3 seconds as requested in order to display current model coding.

One then turns the programme selector switch clockwise, (within 5 seconds) until LED 1 comes on.

However, I cannot get this to happen!

Also, could you let me know what the purpose of the impellor jug is please?

    Kind regards,

    Re: Cricket 2011

2012 hasn’t exactly started well for our cricketers.

Following Englands woeful performance in the recent Test series against Pakistan, how come we are so hopeless batting against spin?

Plus, us “Yorkshire Puddings” will be back in Division 1 soon.

It’s about time our red rose friends won something.

    Hello Bryan,

The bearing were severely worn, but had not cut into the heating element.

I’ve checked, and double checked all the wiring connections, especially the ones that I disconnected.

However, they are all fine so remains a mystery for now.

    Best wishes,

    Jon
