    Re: Maytag AYE2200AGW Tumble Dryer

I have just been quoted over £200 for the timer ass’y!

Inter-Spares are in the process of confirming the cost, and I am unsure how to verify that the original is faulty.

Wondering if someone can help in the above test procedure, as it seems to be such an obscure fault.

    Best wishes,

    Re: Candy CD1454-80 Type: WQP89325

    Thanks helo_75,

I have had another look at the dishwasher in question today, but have been unable to cure the problem yet.

I drained the water from the unit, which then allowed programmes to be selected, which was not the case before.
The m/c would then run correctly for about 30 seconds before returning to the pumping out/safety mode.

Error code E4 re-appears, and does so for about 5 mins before stopping tha above cycle.

I drained the remaining water again, and selected a wash programme again. The cycle started as normal, the m/c allowing water in, and the wash pump kicking in for about 30 seconds again.

During this time I checked for water leaks as best as possible, and was unable to detect any leakage.

I’m wondering if the anti flood device itself is faulty, and if so, how does one check it?

    Best wishes,

    Thanks electrofix,

I’ve had a look at the manual you kindly directed me to.

However, as you say, no trouble codes in manual.

I really need to know what error code E04 relates to.

    Good morning,

I’ve tried obtaining some technical help from Siemens to no avail.

Not sure how to proceed with this problem, which has me baffled.

I’ve considered disconnecting the cooling/vent fan, but appreciate it has a function.

Any advice would be most welcome!

    Thanks NomadPaul,

One will investigate, and report back.

The pump is a non genuine newish item, so will double check for possible blockages etc.

    Kind regards,

    Good evening,

    Thanks chaps,

The condenser unit is getting wet; is this normal, and definetely requires a good clean out…

    How does one do this?

    Re: Creda T620CW

    Good afternoon all,

Still struggling a little with this T/D problem.

I’ve re-assembled the unit, and re-tested as no inner door, or condenser chamber blockages as suggested.

The heater does get warm, as stated.

However, it doesn’t seem to be getting hot enough, as no steam evident and only moderate heat on damp towels when checked mid-cycle.

Maybe it does require a new heater unit, as there is little/no difference between high or full heat too.

Also wondering if the condenser unit could cause the problem, and if so, how does one test them?

    Best wishes,

Re: Beko DRV5 62W tumble dryer staining laundry

    Thanks again Seamy,

I have tried what you suggested, and the heater problem remains.

This is with a fairly large load of towels etc, some damp, on various programmes.

The heater glows red hot for about 5 seconds, then goes off and stays off.

I have noticed when this occurs, only the upper pair of elements work.

Wonder if the heater unit is failing/failed by coincidence!

    Kind regards,

Re: Beko DRV5 62W tumble dryer staining laundry

    Thanks Seamy,

Have stripped m/c and renewed front plastic bearings and felt.

    Hopefully cured staining problem.

However, the heater only works for 5-10 seconds, before going off.

I’m wondering if there is a reset sequence, as I don’t think theres a reason for the heater to misbehave.

    Could someone advise on above?

    Best wishes,

    Hi Martin,

I’ve had a look through the heater aperture; however, all clear.

I reckon it is the release mechanism, so will have to investigate further.

    Well done nomadPaul!

Yes, I had temporarily left the aforementioned access cover off, not realising the effect it would have!

Thanks again for all your help chaps.
